"The name of the hotel in English is "The Old Rectory". As such it is full of charm. The room we had was particularly charming as it was in the old bake house at the back of the hotel. The staff could not have been nicer. Breakfast was superb. Also of note is that the adjoining restaurant is worth a visit in its own right. "

"The air conditioning barely worked. The supposedly great restaurant was “on vacation” - during peak tourism season! There was no extra lock on my room door or chain for security. Although I hung out the sign saying I did not want housekeeping, the housekeeping staff opened my door (because there was no way to lock it) while I was undressed so I had to yell at them to stop. "The hotel is in an excellent position within the town. The staff were very pleasant. The only downside was that the radiators in the bedroom and bathroom both needed bleeding but by the time we discovered this the reception was closed (18.00). The bed was a little hard for our liking."
