Dreamiest wedding venue
We had an absolutely incredible time here. We had a small wedding with about 30 guests who all had the option to stay the night. The love shack and cabin were beautiful and so was the outdoor bathroom building. There was a really great speaker for use at the gazebo and bbq's galore. Our only real issue was the power to the island wasn't on when we arrived so we had to troubleshoot that by standing on the edge of the rock for reception to text the host. Considering that was the only real issue we encountered all weekend, I'd say it went pretty well!

Great experience
The property is incredibly beautiful. From the chalet to the love shack and all of the campsites. Everything is lovely. The photos don't do it justice. The road to the property isn't as bad as others made it out to be. It's a typical FSR so potholes are expected. We had a couple of sedans make it no problem but they obviously had to drive much slower than the SUVs and trucks. Even at the end of September the water temperature of the lake was very nice and you could easily swim in it for a while and not feel cold. There's a diving board and some kayaks that people really enjoyed. Wood is provided for the fire pit and the love shack. There are bears in the area so be sure to not leave any food outside overnight. Everyone had a great time. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful location and home but remote
We booked this property for two nights for our family of five and were impressed with the beauty of the island and the lake. The main house was well done with great attention to detail and many amenities to make our stay more comfortable. It's worth noting that this property is, in my mind, very remote and requires traveling 20km on logging roads (45 minutes driving confirmed by GPS) with only one other property along the way (that we could see) and no cell phone service. There was also a black bear cub at the entrance to the driveway (bear management is addressed in the guest manual at the house) If we went again, I would plan to bring everything we need with us including food, emergency supplies, our SUV (rather than our minivan), a means of communication in case of trouble along the logging roads, and possibly water (the water is from local sources and not regularly tested for safe consumption). There is wifi cell service in the accommodations but not elsewhere so that bears keeping in mind. We hadn't anticipated this and so when we left the next day to gather supplies, we ended up with a flat tire on the logging roads which cut our vacation short by a day. Luckily, the host was very understanding and credited us for our missed day. Again, this was a beautiful stay, just would need some more preparation than what we had anticipated, especially at the premium price point.

My 30th bday
I came to the island for my 30th Bday with a few friends. Not only was it an amazing stay but the staff who help out with the island were fantastic. Big shout out to Les for making the stay welcoming and comfortable and generally just showing us a good time. Everything was clean and went smooth, no issues with anything. It was certainly fitting calling it sunset island, some of the best I have ever seen.

Beautiful Island Get Aw
Experience 5/5. But quality 3/5 due to only one shower, no light in downstairs washroom. Remote control for tv did not work. BBQ in stage area did not work. Outdoor hot tub was filthy. Outdoor washrooms we’re not completed, although they had beautiful stage and nice play area, beautiful views 👌👌 I’d come back but they have to do some minor upgrades especially for the premium price we’re paying.
