"The staff are very pleasant and willing to help. The dining facilities are very nice and the food is of a high standard. The room I stayed in was basic , very clean and very well priced. It’s an old building with hot water radiators unfortunately every time the heating started in my room there was the constant sound of water running into the radiator. This didn’t help at 6am and the only option given was to switch it off."

We were anticipating a cozy room, in a country pub setting but, in reality, the D&P offers good value, chalet-style family rooms, each with it’s own car port, in a large area behind the pub itself. "I spent two nights hear so saw lots of different staff and they was all amazing. I had the single room which is probably only a few inches off been a double, so great. I had two evening meals which were both fantastic and also fantastic value for money. But the breakfast is the show stopper for me. If you like a full English you will love this hotel"
