Our accommodation will easily sleep five guests, across the three well-appointed bedrooms. At Leys Barn you will benefit from single storey living accommodation with the living and dining room open plan with the kitchen. The nicely presented kitchen features everything you’ll need for your holiday. Natural daylight streams in through the windows and we would encourage you to push open the windows and really feel like the outside space becomes part of the inside, now’s your time to be at one with nature!
As you enter the property, take in the rural aspect and gaze across the endless fields and onto woodland, an ideal base from which to enjoy the numerous local walks or cycle trails. The living room is comfortably furnished with plenty of sofa seating, large screen TV and numerous books, kick back and enjoy! Leys Barn is a real suntrap! Take your morning coffee outside and treat yourself to a bit of peace and quiet whilst planning your adventurous day ahead. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, toilet and sink. The separate Shower Room can be found at the other end of Leys Barn.
Walkers and cyclists will find a huge array of opportunity in this picturesque area and after a busy day exploring, why not head to one of the local pubs or restaurants or make the most of Leys Barn and settle in for something to eat and a few drinks, the choice is yours! Local and popular attractions include several National Trust and English Heritage properties so you’ve got plenty to see. For those of you bringing children, the open farm at Wimpole Hall and Linton Zoo are both within an easy drive. Within a 45-minute drive you can be experiencing Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, the glorious Village Green and duck pond at Finchingfield or Audley End House and Gardens, all fantastic spots to just take in the sights or sit and enjoy your day.
Leys Barn has easy access to the city of Cambridge where you can enjoy a city of culture, numerous shops, restaurants and pubs, Museums, Botanical Gadens and even a spot of punting on the River Cam. London can be reached in just over an hour by train so if you fancy travelling further afield, taking in some of the capital’s highlights or a theatre trip then it is easily done! Fancy a day beside the seaside? We are in a fantastic location so you can get to the Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex coastlines (and back) in a day. For those of you into either golf or fishing, you’ll be glad to know that we have both options only 20 minutes from home.
