"We have visited The Lakeside Hotel a few times now - last year we did the murder mystery event which was good and great value for money with evening meal, overnight stay and breakfast included so I would recommend. Most recent stay 22nd Feb 2 nights as a family and our friends family from Sweden - overall great hotel and the kids loved it. The only down side I would say is some (not all) of the restaurant/bar staff are laxidazy when it came to taking orders a few of our orders for breakfast...

"The hotel is located on the main road into Windermere and has its own parking. Check in was fast and the receptionist was very helpful. I was a little disappointed as I didn’t realise that access to the pool with kids is only between 9am - 1pm so we had to move our plans around and take the kids the following morning. "Really good location for exploring Keswick and the area. Close to town centre, rooms clean and fairly spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food really good quality and with some vegetarian options. Drinks from the bar not too expensive. The only downside is some of the hotel looks somewhat "tired" and could do with upgrading. All in all, a really nice place to have a break."

"We had a lovely stay at the Whitewater hotel. All the staff were very friendly. We stayed for 1 night with our 3 month old baby and was given a really spacious room on the ground floor with a travel cot. We did stay for dinner at the hotel. The starter was a bit disappointing and when the waiter asked why we hadn't finished it he took it off the bill. The lamb and the steak was lovely. Breakfast was also nice.
