The hotel is extremely dog friendly whilst still maintaining a dog free restaurant. This is definitely on my return list "

"Beautiful bedroom furniture, plenty of tea, de-caffeinated coffee and a cafetière too. Biscuits were lovely. The only minor thing is the mattress was a little less than good. Bathroom great, super clean. View out of the front, beautiful. Sash window could open at least half so lovely fresh air. Breakfast was gorgeous and thoroughly enjoyed. Super super will definitely be back."

"Stayed here before a track event at Donington and honestly it is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. Beverley is a wonderful host and from the moment she greeted us was full of advice, and tips to make our stay more comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I crashed out and didn’t stir at all. As others have stated everywhere was immaculately clean. "

"We only booked for one night as it was close to Alton Towers but could quite happily have stayed longer. Chalet was really cute, nicely decorated and really clean. Milk, water and orange juice in the fridge was a nice touch (after our long drive it was nice to have a cup of tea that isn’t made from longlife milk 😬). Owner was really friendly and made us both feel welcome. He made us pancakes for breakfast as we aren’t big fans of a full English first thing….It was the BEST pancake ever....

"It was a joy to stay at Parsons House - close to the village centre, the whole place is unusual and quirky; the owner, David, is kind and attentive, the bed one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in; the bath deep with a plentiful supply of hot water; fresh tea and coffee offered at every opportunity, and delivered to the bedroom door; and the breakfasts absolutely delicious - beautifully cooked and presented with local produce, breakfast trifle, and quince marmalade. "The hotel is very tastefully decorated and modern the staff very helpful and friendly the food excellent and cost was very reasonable. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was right at the front off the hotel it did have modern double glazed windows but they were useless the traffic outside never stopped until after midnight and restarted around 4 am.I am quite a heavy sleeper but this had to be the worst night’s sleep I’ve experienced at a hotel, the bed looked lovely but we couldn’t turn over...
