The Hofraithe, consisting of 4 buildings, represents the former core of Hesse's second smallest city. We look back here to the year 1699, the year the old office building was built.
The historical ambience of the houses with the high rooms, exposed timber framing, the wood-clad walls and the 1970s flair of the simple furnishings radiate cosiness, comfort and warmth.
Anyone who strokes the exposed oak wooden beams can feel and feel every stroke of the ax by carving the beams. A really great feeling that also gives respect to the work of our ancestors.
We offer a residential unit here, the characteristics of which are dealt with individually elsewhere.
Our focus is on the group, the family or friends, i.e. everyone who would like to meet in a larger group.
Experienced self-caterers immediately inspect the furnished kitchen with common room and quickly distribute the division of tasks for the next few days, with the dishwasher taking over a large part of the routine work as basic convenience. After the beds have been made with our own bed linen, we can rent them on request, and we continue to explore the grounds.
Here you can already think about the shopping list at the permanently installed grill stations, choose wine and beer from your thoughts that can be purchased in the nearby beverage store or consider pre-ordering a barrel of beer from the local beverage store.
The table tennis table and the small city park right next to the Hofraithe allow various games, nearby there are also 2 large playgrounds for the little ones.
If the weather is right, the existing beer bank trimmings can be set up in the courtyard and communication continues cheerfully.
All additional purchases can be done on foot at local local shops with an attached butcher, there is also one of the two bakeries for the obligatory breakfast rolls or croissants.
If the kitchen stays cold, an Italian and a Greek restaurant are available on site, alternatively German cuisine in the neighboring town. Catering service from different providers rounds off the program.
There are some leisure options, from the solar-powered outdoor pool, trekking in the Burgwald as well as the Kellerwald, the Kellerwald nature park with its primeval forest, lots of water in the Edersee or various well-developed bike paths.
A visit to the beautiful half-timbered towns such as Marburg an der Lahn or Frankenberg an der Erde offer a contrast program.
The harmonious conversations in the common room as well as the many retreat possibilities both inside and outside round the whole thing off.
And not to forget: the calmness, which some also perceive as silence, has its own charm.
