Great place to stay
The home was perfect for our three-generation family to spend some time together.
We stayed two nights and had a very pleasant time during new year time. Rental home was clean and spacious enough for our 14 members friends and families.
We stayed a weekend at Tina and Daryl’s home for a family wedding. It was spacious - clean and convenient to everything. We enjoyed the porch and watching the buggies go by the house. The house was immaculate and had so many fun quirks with the staircases and balconies. We will be back !
We came to do research on our ancestors and tour the area. The home we stayed in was absolutely perfect. Gave us the warm and inviting atmosphere we were looking for. Spent a lot of time on the front porch talking and so enjoyed watching the horse and buggies. Happened to be there for the Rhubarb Festival which was a lot of fun. So nice to be able to walk to that. We loved loved loved your place. Thank you!!
We were 7 girls traveling together to go to Gettysburg and to Sight and Sound theater. The house was conveniently located and had plenty of room for us. There was some traffic noise from the street. Overall we really liked it and would definitely stay there again.
We were having a family gathering and this house worked so well. There was space for all. The weather was lovely so we enjoyed using the fire pit and tables in the backyard. We had 6 cars and the driveway accommodated them all.
Full functioning kitchen, we cooked several meals there. The living room was on the small side, and some of the bedrooms were quite small, not really bedrooms. But overall, we all had a place to stay, and we were very comfortable.
The property is in a good location. Driveway is narrow but long. We planned who could get out first. You might want to bring an electric flyswatter for the flies. Lots of room so everyone had privacy. We only stayed the weekend so didn't use the kitchen much. Definitely would stay here again.
This past weekend, our family enjoyed a special time in your home. Tina and Daryl, your house is inviting and warm and full of everything we needed. As we sat around the fire pit, we reminisced about our past family get togethers and planned for future ones, too. From the front porch, which had plenty of rockers for all, we watched the leaves fall and buggies trot by. It was a beautiful time of the year with the changing leaves and the area is delightful! We hope to return to your cozy home again soon!
We wanted to go to Sight and Sound for Christmas and needed a large place for our 15 people. Everything was great. We all had a wonderful time. There was not room for all of us to sit for a meal, but that wasn't a problem for us. Maybe for others. One of our teenage grands said, "I think we should do this every year."
We were there for my son’s wedding. 14 of us had plenty of room and beds. Absolutely the perfect location, walkable to the Kitchen Kettle Village and restaurants. We could sit on the porch and watch buggies go by. I would suggest leaving a bundle of firewood and matches. Took us 4 days to find any for sale. Will definitely be back!
The guest house was perfect in its accommodations for 15 family members from ages 2-77. Loved the front porch. Great for gathering to visit, watch Mama and Papa Robin care for their little ones, take in the Amish culture passing along the front road. Also, enjoyed the back yard with the firepit. Family across the road was friendly. Things to do were close by and offered our family another opportunity to enjoy the culture. Younger family members enjoyed a day at Hershey Park. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.
Four generations stayed at this charming home to celebrate a milestone birthday. It was easy to feel comfortable here. The host provided plenty of towels and utensils for us. The house was NOT littered with "don't do this" signs, which would detract from the homey feel. They had a highchair and a baby gate for our use -- a plus we didn't expect. One of the three bathrooms was part of the master suite, but the other two are accessible without having to go through a room. It was very close to the attractions we planned to see. We will all have happy memories of being there. The host was kind and conscientious when she called or texted to answer my questions. We felt welcomed here.
This place was great! Very clean and ready for a weekend, nice and quiet town that was perfect for us to get away and decompress as a group. Would definitely come back here
A home with character! We loved the various rooms and staircases- plenty of space for our family of 11. It was clean; Tina was very welcoming; well stocked kitchen; and great porch and backyard patio. Would not hesitate to rent again.
We had a wonderful time! We went to Hersheypark, Gettysburg, shopped right up the road at Kitchen Kettle Village, had a buggy ride through the countryside, and watched other buggies from the front porch. The home was spotless and we had plenty of room for everybody. A great trip!
