We were asked to stay in La Rocca dei Malatesta which was more simple and cheaper (it is very easy to check on the Internet) - but we were charged the Residenza price - with no excuse from their side."

"Wonderful stay. Very family friendly. Cinzia was amazing. We sent an email on the road to let her know we were arriving late, since I wasn't able to call with my cellular plan. On my next stop we checked and she had already answered to let us know not to worry and that she would be waiting for us. "The house provided beautiful views, a magnificent location, and the host was warm and welcoming. Nestled in old world Italy, surrounded by quaint countryside towns, we found the area to be iconically surreal. Although our trip was marred with climactic tragedy, the one bright spot of our travel through the Emilia Romagna was staying in the beautiful hilltop villa of Le Orchidee. "Stayed in the off-season (October) so didn’t take advantage of the beach or pool but the hotel itself was nice. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. My particular room had evidence of water damage in the bathroom that hadn’t been properly repaired, but overall was a nice place to stay. "

"La casa è molto comoda con ampi spazi, dovrebbe essere solo manutenuta un po’ meglio e essere fornita di qualche accessorio in più , perché è davvero una casa carina in una posizione strategica, a 5 minuti dal mare, vicinissima alla zona pedonale ma appena fuori dal rumore del centro. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati molto bene."
