BRAND NEW LISTING!
Prestigious two bedroom flat with balcony, located on the second floor of a period building without elevator in Piazza Margana, a pedestrian quiet and peaceful square, steps away from the Campidoglio and Capitolini Museums, Piazza Venezia, the Jewish Ghetto, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona, Largo Argentina. Entering the luxury apartment, fitted with cotto floorings, a lovely foyer with a small couch opens up onto a spacious living room overlooking the square, furnished with antique furniture, design pieces and original paintings. The room offers a relax area with comfortable couches, a coffee table and some poufs, a dining area with a table for 4/6 people and a study corner with a writing desk. The separate kitchen has just been renovated with an antique floor and it is fully equipped and complete with dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, oven, microwave oven, pots and pottery, induction hob. A large breakfast counter completes the structure. It should be noted that brand new air conditioning is available in the bedrooms, kitchen and living room. A corridor leads from the foyer to the night area, wich includes a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a balcony with two chairs and a table overlooking lovely gardens and fitted with hair conditioning, together with a second bedroom with a small double sofa bed (mattress 120x190 - 48" x 75"), air conditioning and a small table. The first bathroom with bathtub and the second one with a shower complete the apartment. The apartment is located in one of the most characteristic areas of Rome historic center and its strategic position allows you to reach in a few minutes the most importants points of interest of the city. In Piazza Venezia there si a taxi station and various bus stops leading to the most important areas of Rome.

Beautiful Apartment

A very lovely spacious apartment, located 10 minutes from the Colosseum and 2 great restaurants next door to eat at. The host was wonderful and very polite. There are a lot of steps to be aware of but still the perfect spot to enjoy your Italian getaway!

We loved our stay in this most amazing apartment. Such a cute little corner of Rome with fabulous restaurants at our doorstep. Most of Romes attractions were within walking distance. Beautiful apartment in Rome

My wife and I travelled to Rome for the first time and was blown away by Ilaria’s hospitality. She met us upon arrival and gave us a great overview of the property and Rome. She was easy to communicate with and the property was everything you would expect. The cleanliness and location were amazing. We can’t wait to return to Italy to stay here again. Great location and apartment!

You can't get a much better location than Piazza Margana. We've stayed in a lot of areas in Rome, and this was one of our favorites. It's close to lots of attractions and public transportation, but it's a quiet area at night, which was appreciated. The apartment is as nice as the pictures! And Ilaria (the host) was very helpful and responsive. The stairs were not an issue for us, but it is something to keep in mind as there is no elevator (mentioned in the description). This place made us feel we were part of the neighborhood and not just tourists - we'd definitely come back here!

Excellent from start to finish

Our host was wonderful from check in through departure. The apartment is beautiful and well appointed. We’ve stayed in a variety of neighborhoods in Rome and loved the location. There are close options for grocery. The piazza is very quiet and had 2 options for drinks and food while were were there. I can’t provide any negatives for our stay. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic

This apartment was so wonderful that we could have happily stayed for the rest of our lives. The furnishings were comfortable, elegant, welcoming and ideal for lounging around after a full day of walking. The kitchen had everything anyone would want for cooking dinner. The location is perfect for all the sights as well as for ice cream and markets. Our hostess Ilaria was the best ever — she was waiting for us when we arrived and answered questions right away. Recommend this apartment for anyone looking fora perfect roost in Rome.

Terrific location but only one bed is really usable

Terrific location and very clean (though one major cleaning would be a plus - behind/under cushions, empty out old products like the sugar etc.) and comfortable except for the single bed - the mattress is not usable. It sags too much to sleep on it. Communication is difficult not with the specific person who represents the lessor company, but with the lessor themselves (Wonder Where to Stay). Kitchen is large and well-functioning. Also, the balcony is too small to use, with HVAC units to the left. It is good place to stay - just need to describe a few things that may be challenging for some.

A great location for exploring Rome

The apartment is convenient for all conceivable sites to explore. The unit is rustic and charming in it own way including 2 bathrooms. If there is an issue with the apartment is the picture featuring the balcony is not accurate. The a/c units are located on the balcony seriously constricting the available area for sitting. The second issue we noted was the usage of the courtyard by a neighbourhood restaurant. The staff dumped their garabage nightly after the restaurant closed in the wee hours of the night. The courtyard also serves as an area for parties catered by the restaurant into the wee hours. Enjoyed of stay and appreciate the professionalism and efficient of the staff.

a secret gem in the heart of Rome!

We opened the door to the apartment and automatically fell in love! Old world charm, modern amenities, spacious, and perfect in every way! Ilaria, our hostess was amazing, warm and right there if we needed anything. The living room was so comfortable ( we were 3 people) , the master bedroom was quite large with a ton of space and a cute little balcony for our morning coffee, which overlooks a quaint and quiet courtyard. The 2nd bedroom was perfect for our niece. The galley kitchen had everything at our fingertips. We didn't need any public transportation since we were very centrally located- we walked EVERYWHERE! I would recommend this gem 100%!

Outstanding Experience

The apartment is located in an incredible location. Walking distance to all the major sites. The kitchen is great and offers many conveniences. Washer/dryer combination is a big plus. The mattress is extremely comfortable. The 15’ ceilings are a highlight of the apartment and provide a more spacious atmosphere. The steps to the apartment are a bit steep but we are both in our 70s and they posed no problem. We highly recommend renting if staying in Rome. You could not ask for a better condo owner. Ilaria was beyond helpful and was a wonderful hostess. We have become friends and will continue a friendship.

Breathtakingly elegant apartment close to everything

I felt like a Contessa staying in Ilaria's amazing apartment. It is historic, spacious, and impeccably decorated with beautiful antiques and art. Ilaria was gracious, helpful, and accommodating, always available by email when we had a question. The apartment's fabulous location put us within a quick walk to the Campo di Fiori, the Colosseum, and the Pantheon, with a handy grocery store just a few steps away. The kitchen was well equipped, and the balcony is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning espresso and listen to the birds. Thank you, Ilaria. We will be back!

Perfect location, Magical Apartment!

When we come back to Rome, there will be no question. This will be the place that we stay again. Located on a beautiful little quiet piazza, this apartment could not have been lovelier. In fact, I’m not certain that the pictures actually are pretty enough in the property description! Ilaria was a truly wonderful host. She was extremely helpful, very friendly and very responsive to our every need. In short, this apartment was everything that one needs to really experience the true nature of Rome. Perfect!!!

Charming Apartment in Quiet Piazza

As one who loves all things antique, this place really shone. The very large sitting/dining room was resplendent with antiques and art and very comfortable seating. The photos show it well. 2 very small but adequate bathrooms one with tub the other shower stall, and a washing machine were appreciated. Ilaria left us a breakfast for the first couple of days, juice, milk, coffee, cereals and toasts in the small but fully appointed kitchen. Ilaria is a wonderful, charming host who went out of her way to make us feel at home, even when a booking glitch arose. The bedroom was lovely with a large closet and very comfortable bed. It had a small terrace off of it and we enjoyed the morning sun coming in through the open French doors while we awoke in the mornings. The piazza is quiet and charming with a very good restaurant - Vinando. We ate there for our arrival dinner as well as our departure. Very good food, service and just down the stairs. Stairs - there are 2 steep flights of them and would not recommend for any with joint or motion problems. The piazza is a very short walk to the Victor Emmanuelle monument, Campodoglio, the Jewish quarter but quiet and away from the fray. All in all, we had a very delightful stay at "Casa Vacanza" and would recommend it highly.

Very clean and well appointed. The host could not have been nicer. The A/C was in both bedrooms but the living area remained warm. This was during a very hot spell in July and would be fine most of the year.

Superb accommodation in the historic heart of Rome

As other reviewers have said, the location and the apartment itself are stunning. Tucked into a piazza of its own with two restaurants just steps away, yet 100 meters from major sites and transportation hubs, the apartment in this 16th century building is charming, well-kept and clean. Ilaria was wonderful to work with in every way: responsive and helpful, and genuinely interested in helping us enjoy our stay. Potential renters should understand that the kitchen is, as the owner's description and one reviewer make clear, very small indeed. It would be difficult for more than one person to work in it. Yet it is (as the reviewer indicated) well-equipped, clean and entirely functional. Renters should also understand that the owner's mention of the "second floor" may need a bit of elaboration for some American visitors: As in most European countries, what an American would call the "first floor" is considered the "ground floor," above which are the first and second floors; in other words, the apartment is on the third floor, accessed by way of two substantial staircases. One final thing: The single bedroom (which I used) has an extremely comfortable sofa bed -- but it is (like the kitchen) very small, in fact little more than a slight expansion of the hallway that leads to it. That said, it is quiet and cool, and I slept very well every night. I mention these things not as criticisms but as elaborations of Ilaria's description. The apartment is a wonderful, and I recommend it enthusiastically.

DELIGHTFUL!

I stayed for one month in this apartment and could not have been happier with the experience! The rental process and communications were excellent and the apartment itself was fantastic. Ilaria, the hostess, was a pleasure to work with on every occasion. The apartment is exceptional and beautiful, as seen in the photos. It was very clean and everything worked properly. All the appliances are in fine working condition and the bed was super comfortable. The WiFi worked great, with only occasional connectivity lapses when devices were farther from the router, due to the thickness of the walls. The air-conditioner in the bedroom worked perfectly. There is plenty of closet space and, although not shown in the website photos, there is a new 3-section closet in the bedroom. The living room overlooks the charming Piazza Margana, and, although the apartment is just a stone’s throw from the busy area around Piazza Venezia, it is quiet and feels like being in a village. Plus, an accordionist swings by in the early evenings to serenade diners at the 2 restaurants the square. Both bedrooms are located in the back of the apartment and overlook a garden that is totally quiet and gives a feeling of being in the countryside. The kitchen is small, but I had no difficulty cooking plenty of meals in it and it’s well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes and glassware. The new wireless speaker has great quality sound and I loved listening to my iPhone playlist on it. There is a large TV in the bedroom but, if it matters to anyone, there are no English language channels available. I didn’t have many questions or issues during my stay, but Ilaria was very prompt (as in instantaneous) in responding to texts. She is warm, welcoming, always cheerful and dependable. I honestly can’t think of anything that disappointed me about the entire rental experience and I already have plans to return to this apartment. Thank you, Ilaria!
