Magnificent grand historic villa
This villa is absolutely magnificent. It's historic grandeur and splendor is evident everywhere. There is marble in hallways, bathrooms, everywhere. The restaurant where a large hot breakfast is served is downstairs in arched rooms. The patio and sitting areas have high ceilings and is just grand. The hotel setting is beautiful with olive trees by the pool and a gorgeous view of Rome. The staff is polite and helpful. The only drawbacks were the air conditioning which cooled minimally and the distance from the city. Buses are available from the hotel to the city.

Great location for visiting Frascati and Rome
We booked this location to be near Frascati. It was within walking distance of the town which was perfect for shopping and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Angelo at reception, who gave us recommendations of beautiful places to visit in the area.

urgent renovation needed
At the moment of writing this review,may-21st-2014,I am staying in room 1014 which unfortunately I could not leave early because it was paid in full and have an itinerary that can not be changed.When we arrived 2 days ago we noticed that our room carpet was particularly dirty and requested a room change.Rude,unfriendly and badly trained staff at the reception initially tried to sell a higher rate room,then told that there weren't any more rooms available to finally say that all rooms were at the same condition.In room tv is an old fashion 13'' which is barely impossible to watch from your bed.Comfort is missing elsewhere,as an example,when taking a shower the space between the faucet and door is no more than 40cm(16 inc),air conditioner is not working.No in room internet,only in public areas.There is a so called "sala villa vecchia" where guests are during evenings trying to use the slow 0.50 mbps internet service and you'll be lucky if find an space to seat down.Breakfast is poor,no fresh juices,dispensers for everything,do not expect something like an Italian coffee or a real orange juice.I have been many times in Frascati area because I use it as my initial point to explore the country and have been in other properties but this time I made a big mistake.Unfortunately this site does not allow to publish real photos witch can be seen in another popular review site.

Lovely hotel for last night of our holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at the Villa Vecchia. It took a little finding as it's not in the centre of Frascati but on one of the main roads out of the town. There was a wedding reception in progress, the highlight for us being when the groom was thrown into the outdoor pool! The restaurant was mostly quiet that evening (Sunday) but the food was still of a high quality despite the catering for the wedding and a large party in a side-room. Would definitely recommend, but if heading to Ciampino make sure of the route - took us over an hour rather than the 15-minutes it should have!

Not worth the cost
Deluxe rooms overlooking Rome are on the road and the traffic noise is awful. You can't close the windows because the rooms smell musty. They had the gate down so I had to park the car and walk to the reception desk and ask them to raise it. Then I had to do the same when I wanted to exit. They do a lot of functions - business meetings, weddings, etc - so in addition to the road noise we were treated to an outdoor party with an off-key singer who made a brave yet futile attempt at "Let It Be", and a restaurant full of drunken Germans in town for a business meeting. Thank goodness it was only one night.

Flot udsigt over Roms forstæder og et fint, men gammelt hotel, der godt kunne trænge til en opfriskning. Dog rustikt på flere områder, men værelserne er slidte og med flere begrænsninger.

Une ancienne villa dans un parc avec piscine à flanc de coteau dans les oliveraies Un charme fou. Trés calme. On aime beaucoup les colis Albani. Excellent restaurant (pates aux truffes) Petit de pas terrible et cher. (prenez le à Frascati)

We booked a family room for 4 (6 & 9YO). Room was nice and big, but a bit empty with only 1 TV and no sofa (as this was used for the kid's double bed). Service was nice with the people in reception, but restaurant and bar service lacked friendliness and pro-activity.

Buon albergo anche se migliorabile, tranquillo e rilassante. Dotato di piccola piscina anche se con lettini veramente insufficienti. Unica nota stonata e non per il costo di per se: la richiesta di pagamento di euro 2.5 per l' uso di asciugamani per la piscina. Il personale alla reception freddo e formale.

Bell'hotel sito in una stupenda posizione sui Castelli Romani. Anche le camere si presentano bene, peccato però che subito dopo ci siamo imbattuti in una situazione igienica inaccettabile: capelli sul pavimento del bagno della prima camera assegnataci e peli sul water nelle successive due camere richieste in sostituzione. Alla fine abbiamo chiuso un occhio demoralizzati. Se poi aggiungiamo i disagi di un bagno freddo e di un letto composto da due materassi singoli che si aprivano in centro... Non ci torneremo di sicuro!

Tranquillita' e natura vicino a Monteporzio
Giusto una notte di passaggio con la famiglia. Ma conosco questo hotel perche' frequento spesso Monteporzio per lavoro. La stanza era una tripla con letto aggiuntivo. Ottimo l'isolamento e tranquillita', nonche' funzionamento riscaldamento (giusta temperatura nessun rumore). La stanza era al primo piano. Bellissimo il giardino, ma richiederebbe maggior tempo per struttarlo e probabilmente d'estate. Si trova in una zona isolata e richiede l'auto per muoversi; anche a piedi arrivare a Monteporzio e' una lunga sfacchinata, sconsigliabile (accessibile a piedi solo l'Osservatorio astronomico). Gentili alla reception e soprattutto durante la colazione il supporto ai bambini!
