The apartment is situated in a quiet, non touristy part of Trastevere where you can soak in the roman atmosphere. It is a stone's throw away from the-one- of a kind boutiques, trendy bars and trattorias, and a short walk along the charming medieval roads will take you to the main historical sites. The apartment is on the third floor in an elegant and historical palazzo dating 12th century in a non-elevator building. There are two comfortable double bedrooms
- Bedroom number 1 (the rose room) has a French bed (55 inch) and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and hair dryer;
- Bedroom number 2 (the gray room) has a double bed which can be separated into twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with
a shower and hair dryer
The living room has a sofa that can be used as a sofa bed, a table that seats 4 and a TV. One of the bedrooms has the flexibility to accommodate double or twin beds - perfect for a family, two couples or a group of friends. The bathrooms are modern and both have showers. From the first bedroom there is a lovely view of the Garden of Oranges on the Aventine Hill. If you visit the hill you will be treated to beautiful views of the eternal city. The living / dining room is light and comfortable, There is a kitchenette which is functional and neatly tucked away along the corridor. It is fully equipped, perfect for cooking basic meals like pasta, light lunches, salads etc. with 2 stove top units, a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a toaster oven.
But why spend too much time cooking when you can be sitting outside - al fresco - at a trattoria sampling the roman cuisine with a glass of Frascati! The apartment also offers Internet Wi-Fi (if you are traveling with your own computer); adjustable heating; an electric hot water tank which provides hot water; a washing machine and an iron and ironing board. Air conditioning is available in every room .. The hostess speaks English and French and will happily provide information on transportation and tourist attractions.
The Trastevere section with all its various restaurants, pubs and shops is a center of active Roman life - day & night - and is less than 400 mt (1/4 mile) from the apartment. The local train from the airport stops at the Trastevere Train Station which is just a 15 minute ride on Tram number 8 also near the apartment. The ancient Roman Basilica of Santa Cecilia with its famous statue of the Saint by Stefano Maderno and a 12th century fresco by Pietro Cavallini is an easy walk. The centrally located piazza of the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere is a favorite meeting place for young Romans. Across the Garibaldi Bridge are many of the main historical attractions of Rome such as Piazza Navona, Campo de ’Fiori, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and the Vatican all within an easy walk. Public transportation provides connection to all other sections of Rome
