Refined and curated apartment on the first floor, in the historic Via dei Giubbonari, right in the middle of the walkway between Colosseum and Piazza San Pietro. Ancient marbles that belonged to the Roman princes, parts of the walls from which fragments of amphora still emerge: the original character has been carefully respected in the modern renovation, which was followed with passion and competence by a specialist in archeology. It consists of two bedrooms, each with a large double bed and its own bathroom with access from the bedroom, in addition to a common room intended for the living room, where there is a comfortable sofa bed for a possible fifth guest. In the living room there is a dining area, a kitchen with a combined oven (including a microwave), a fridge and a gas hob.
The house is comfortable and quiet: the master bedroom has a view of the ancient Via dei Pompieri, which links Via dei Giubbonari to Piazza del Monte di Pietà. The second bedroom has two windows that overlook the inner courtyard of the building. Air conditioning in every room, television, WI-FI; the electric controls consist of light blue touch LEDs.
The main bathroom in antique yellow marble has a very comfortable shower (1.50 x 0.90 m); a marble sink that, like the others in the house, was created from a fountain that comes from the garden of one of the oldest Roman families. The bathroom of the second bedroom, with shower box, is smaller in size but not less attention to detail, also equipped with a hairdryer and a still functioning bronze cock of the '700. Via dei Giubbonari, which leads to the Campo dei Fiori square, is one of the busiest streets in the center and full of shops. This apartment, located a few meters from the ancient House of Pompey, is ideal for a fascinating exploration of the mysteries and wonders of the Eternal City. In the houses of ancient Rome, unlike today, the apartments on the ground and first floors were the most valuable, due to the greater security they offered in the then very frequent case of a fire: the wooden ceilings of this old apartment they are not very high (about 2.20 meters)
