Property was in good location . Only a short walk to the Vatican. Good little restaurant around the place. Felt safe as we walked around the area at night and felt fine . The lady is really helpful.

The room was very small for 1 sofa bed and 1 bed; however, bathroom and bed were so comfortable. The color in the room was very calm and classy so that helped us forget how small the room was. Highly recommended if anyone does not plan to stay in room too much.

We had a wonderful stay at Porta Castello Suites! The room had everything we needed, very comfy bed and lovely shower! The croissants provided in the morning were a lovely touch! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Very easy to check in, with the check in instructions provided.

Well.. I didn’t know this wasn’t a hotel lol! The email communication before the stay didn’t even tip me off. Yeah.. not a world traveller.. until now! Loved the place! Authentic Roman experience from the ancient gated elevator down to the big shutters that I threw open to enjoy the streetscape. Room has been beautifully redone. Bathroom is just great. The two bedroom setup was perfect for my purposes as two couples split the room. Would also be great for a family of 4 or even 5 with the couch. Easily walkable to the Vatican and Trastevere food district. Email communication was excellent and instructions for entry were clear. Easily managed from across the pond. Be aware that staff are only there in the morning. I would definitely use this property again.
