Michaelangelo was great to work with - his flat was very nice and very close to the Vatican! We enjoyed the neighborhood shops and restaurants in the area. We would stay there again and will recommend it to others.
This apartment had everything we needed for our 11-day stay. It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and was just steps away from great restaurants, grocery store, bus lines, train station, plus a short walk to the Vatican. Having a washing machine was a real plus.
The apartment is well-equipped and was very comfortable for two of us. Quiet neighborhood about a ten minute walk to the Vatican. The owner was extremely responsive and made sure we had what we needed.
Excellent apartment in great location. 5 min walk to St Peter’s Basilica. 2 mins from 62 and 64 bus to the centre and 5 mins to San Pietro rail station - easy to get back to the airport using the railway. The apartment was fine especially the bedrooms. 2 balconies to catch the sun and for fresh air. The bathroom was fine but the shower head needs replacing. Kitchen and main room of a good size. Some of the furniture looking a bit tired, but it didn’t matter. Amazing location and we felt like locals! Nice restaurants very close by. I would def come back to stay.

Good place to stay near Vatican
Comfortable, clean, close to sites and shopping. Bathroom needs an update. Shower never did work properly. Otherwise, this was a great place.

Apt Close to the Vatican and St Peters
We had a nice stay. The shower was great. Very good water pressure. The internet in the building was very sporadic so make sure you don’t have any urgent work to do. The host was great and very responsive. Some of the furnishing might need to be updated but overall our stay was very enjoyable. If you’re going to the Vatican and St Peters this is a great spot.
The apartment is in a great location you van get to anywhere very easily , the restaurants around the neighborhood are pretty good, The apartment needs a litle but of more love by the owners the , the pictures do not match the real.thing , but the A/C during these hot summer days its just what you need after being around Rome. I would stay in it again and hopefully they take.care.of the esthetics.
We arrived at your wonderful apartment at the end of our vacation, exhausted and ready for a rest! Thank you so much for the wonderful space!
We did use both bedrooms because the second night there was a party going on and we really needed to sleep! That fixed everything for us!
We found two very nice restaurants and loved the amazing selections!
Thank you so very much for the use of your wonderful apartment!

Not quite luxurious
Ideally situated for access to the Vatican city and a 20 min stroll to the Metro. Locally, the area has good restaurants. The property is a little tired and upon arrival we were informed the air-con was not working. Federico kindly purchased a couple of fans and they were essential!
I had a situation in which at check out I left the keys inside as planned but forgot to take a very important property of mine. Mariona went above and beyond for me to be able to access the apt and retrieve. I thank her so very much for that. This happened on Good Friday and on that day God send two angels to my rescue, Mariona and the taxi driver Alfonso who also did his generous part of taking me to get an emergency key Mariona had with a friend 10 min away. Both of them God sends. Thank you.

Would not use this property again
The bathroom had a strong urin Oder , and there was visible mold in the shower. The shower head would not stay in place and leaked water everywhere. The hot water did not work and when I addressed with the owner I was asked to perform my own maintenance on the hot water heater. Only one of the bedrooms had a working air conditioner.
We read all of the reviews before booking, and have to say they are pretty accurate! The air conditioner doesn't work, which wasn't as big of an issue as the weather was not too hot. The location was fantastic, just two blocks from the Vatican and a 20 minute walk to Trastevere. Everything was as pictured in the listing. We did figure out the issue with the shower. You need to change the setting on the shower head to include the strong pulsing action. Once we did that, we had no issues with the shower. When we had it set to the gentler setting, we had variations of scalding hot and freezing cold. Overall a good option for the cost relative to the great location!

Look’s perfect.. but it’s not!
This property look’s perfect at the fotos but it’s not. Air conditioning was not working from the first moment but no one came to fix it. The water in the shower was hot for 2 minutes then really cold for 2 minutes and hot again! There was mold at the walls of the bathroom. Too much noise from the people next to us. We could hear what they were saying and many other details. The pillows so uncomfortable. This property needs renovation!
Apartment was in a gd location, we found a lovely cafe that we got croissants for our breakfast. Apartment says hairdryer and iron avaliable but did not work and also light bulbs need replacing in lamps but other than that a great place to stay and would recommend it. The only negative thing i could say was the owner organised our transfers was told €55 but when got dropped off was told €65 but refused to pay this as was told in message €55. But to get transfer back paid the €65 but when i gave the taxi the €65 he said its €75 as owed €10 euro from the drop off to Apartment we told him no as that wasnt our fault we was told the wrong price so just watch if you ask for transfer.

Not even close to what I thought it would be
I wouldn't consider it luxurious. It was a bit worn, curtains partially hanging in the bedrooms, broken fan in the bedroom, the front door knob about to fall off, flat pillows and hard bed. The shower was awful, it would be scalding hot for a minute or less and then freezing cold, making it impossible to take a shower. The neighbors are so loud when you are trying to sleep at night, sound like they are in the same room as you. I reached out to the owner about the shower and never heard anything back. If you are looking for a place where you can't sleep or shower this is it. I would not stay here again. The sad part is that the location is great and the only reason I gave it 3 stars.
Our apartment was consistent with the listing on VRBO. It does have some wear-and-tear one might expect from a place housing frequent guests.
The high ceilings make the apartment feel larger and more airy. Location is ideal for anyone that wants to visit The Vatican, St. Peters Basilica, Vatican museums, and the Sistine Chapel. Crossing the Tiber River makes many places (e.g., Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, Pantheon, etc.) accessible with a modest walk. Plus, the apartment is a short walk from the San Pietro train station.
There are lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment is in a relatively quiet neighborhood.
There are only two criticisms. First would be the shower. I have no doubt the apartment was clean; however, the shower has a considerable amount of discoloration around the shower pan making it appear questionable. Second would be the upstairs neighbors. Their arguing could be heard nearly every night. For anyone like us that is a sound sleeper, it’s not much of an issue. A light sleeper may have issues since the arguments are pretty loud.
Overall, we were very happy with this apartment in every way.
I’m very sad to say that this property really misses the mark on some very basic features. Even thought Saint Peter’s is literally a 400m walk and an abundance of restaurants and mini marts, this did not make up for the multitude of issues we encountered; the biggest being the lack of hot water. It constantly cut out seconds into showering and barely lasted 30 seconds after resetting the hot water system. We also couldn’t get it to run in the kitchen sink to wash dishes so had to fill up the sink with water boiled in the kettle. The bathroom cubicle is full of mould and the shower head barely runs and just trickles cold water. Basic pantry items were missing or just about out/empty eg; coffee, tea, salt, olive oil. We were only provided 1.5 rolls of toilet paper to last our group of 3 adults for 5 nights. The microwave also did not turn on at all. The place really needs an overhaul. Very disappointed with our experience given the amount of money we paid and would definitely not stay here again.
