Our stay was amazing. Eleanora was amazing and gave us so much advice on places to eat, travel etc. The room was spotless and so comfortable. Great location, we walked most places. Metro is 3 min walk to get to all the top spots. Would definitely stay again

Staff were extremely accomodating. Room was in great condition with good bathroom facilities. Only downside was a bit of noise from other rooms would get in (soundproofing to outside was excellent though).

Highly recommended
Good size rooms with a proper shower, the place it self is very accommodating with a lovely atmosphere with a proper Italian feel, near to Metro although it so easy to walk to most places (depending on how fit you are) Colosseum only a short walk away. Highly recommended.

Nice rooms
No complaints - nice room, convenient location, no problems. Breakfast at a nearby cafe was a little far away and comprised of a coffee and a croissant

Good but not great !
The bad!( first beacuse thats what everybody wants to know:) 1.We arrived around 22:30 due to a flight delay and we had to pay a tax of 30 euros for checking in after 20:00.This felt like a hustle! You should not be paying extra for checking in regardless of arrival time. 2.The room cleaning it is done only until 11:00. If you are not a morning person or have to stay in a little late, there will be NO cleaning in that day. We left the room twice around 11:15-11:30 and we found it exactly as we left it. It would be nice if they cleaned until 12:00 instead of 11:00. 3.The cleaning lady was arrogant, kept complaining to us about leaving the room after 11 and finishing her program at 11 and having to stay over, but in 5 nights she only cleaned once after 11:00 (around 11:15) Complaining to clients is not professional and creates a bad impression. 4.The breakfast was comprised everyday of a coffee or cappuccino and a croissant. When i asked for decaff, i had to pay a price difference. That seemed very discriminatory and stupid. You had to walk 200-300 metres to get there The good 1.The bathroom was small but very functional, the shower was spacious for a small bathroom. It was well ventilated and well lit. 2.The room was clean when somebody decided to clean it :) 3.The staff at the reception was very nice and welcoming 4.The propriety was very nice and tastefuly decorated 5.The location was good, close to the metro and in 10-15minutes walking distance to the Colosseum

Perfect short break location.
This was an excellent choice for our short stay in Rome. Location is great, just inside the city walls a 15 minute walk to the Colluseum and 5 minutes from the Metro and the rest of Rome's attractions. The Metro is so easy to use and excellent value at only €12.50 for a 2 day pass. On arrival we were met by Eleonor who was extremely pleasant and helpful, she also arranged our return taxi's to Ciampino, thank you! The only minor points are that having the Metro so close means you can hear it, but it's not too intrusive. Breakfast is at a snack bar opposite The Metro, handy but a coffee and croissant was only just sufficient. You can upgrade though for a small fee. All in all though this was a great choice and we would gladly return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Pristine, beautiful centre of Rome, near subway
This B&B is pristinely kept clean and beautifully decorated with a comfortable chic French inspired furnishings. The excellent breakfast was freshly baked croissants or bomba with organic juice and a cappuccino or tea on a patio cafe 1 minute walk away. Elenora was welcoming and accommodating to our requests. Room 4 facing the street was a quiet room with refrigerator, towel warmer and rain shower head. It was around the corner from the Holy Stairs, 1 minute to subway and very close to a good bakery/deli and many convenient bus routes. Our next visit will here.

Lovely Guest House in a Nice, Safe Neighbourhood
To be honest, we were a little apprehensive when booking La Stanze. However all our reservations were put to rest as soon as we got there. Its about a 20 minute walk from Roma Termini station. Upon arrival, we were met by Elenora who showed us our room and got us settled. We were also provided with a map and vouchers for breakfast at a nearby cafe. There are plenty of traditional trattoria's nearby patronised by locals (always a good sign!). I can recommend Trattoria Da Mario, on Via Carlo Felice and Da Simonetta, on Via Pontremoli serving really great carbonara, amatricana, fried baccala, fiori di zucca, grilled seafood and of course pizzas. There is a nearby takeaway that serves Sicilian pizzas. If you fancy more fancy restaurants, there are plenty on Via Merulana and near the Coliseum area. What one must note is that this 'hotel' is more like a guest house. The reception is only available when new guests check in. There is coffee and tea making facilities and a microwave oven. If you are looking for hotel type facilities like room service, a bar etc, then this place certainly not ideal. Overall, we love La Stanze. Its quiet, even though our room faced the main road. Its suits 'younger' and perhaps more energetic travellers who do not mind lots of walking! (I'm 54 by the way, :))!!

Awesome little hotel.
Lovely little 7 bedroom hotel. More like an apartment and was really cool. Staff was really helpful and great. Right in between 2 metro stops so it was pretty convenient. Very cool place at a great price. I would definitely recommend it if you are traveling for pleasure.

Really nice hotel. Only has 7 rooms so it was like having an apartment to ourselves. Very good location in between 2 Metro stops. Friendly staff as well. Super clean and reasonably priced. Would stay here again and recommend it.

hotel in a great location
Really lovely clean modern rooms.Quiet with comfortable beds.Antonella was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. I booked two rooms here for my sister's birthday treat with our partners and our stay to explore Rome was so much better knowing we were coming back each night to a lovely shower and a great nights sleep somewhere comfortable and felt safe. Just a short walk to a great bistro for continental breakfast each morning (included) then on to nearby metro or bus to where ever we wanted to go.we walked to the Colosseum in about 15 minutes.

Comfortable, friendly stay
Very comfortable, friendly service. Small hotel located only a small distance from the centre of Rome which is easily accessed via the Metro nearby. Only downside is breakfast is served off the premises at a café which is 5 mins walk away.

Well located guest house.
We were very well looked after and well catered for at the guest house and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The Coliseum is literally a ten minute walk away and a fabulous restaurant called the Locunda Rigatoni is a two minute walk. The only thing we found a little bit awkward was that we had to eat breakfast at a café further down and across a rather wide road which was a bit hazardous to cross. Then we were only entitled to a croissant a juice and a hot drink - not the most filling of breakfasts but it sufficed. Apart from that everything else was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome.

Wonderful staff, lovely room
I cannot recommend Le Stanze di Elle enough. Our flight was delayed which meant we ended up arriving at the hotel at about 1am. The staff on duty (I think her name was Elinora, but I'm not sure) waited up for us, and was just as friendly and helpful as if it had been 2pm! Both the ladies in charge speak excellent English. The room was clean and seemed freshly decorated - it was certainly very neat, tidy and modern, everything you need it to be. The double glazing was excellent - despite being on a street, we only ever heard the occasional siren from an ambulance - no car noise at all. The rooms are well insulated from each other too - no noise. Breakfast is provided in a nearby café - a tasty croissant, fruit juice and coffee. On our departure, we were allowed to leave our bags in the hotel and pick them up later - very useful. I would really recommend this hotel. Thank you, Le Stanze di Elle, for a lovely stay!

Not in the nicest part of Rome.
Difficult to find. In an enclosed forecourt so no views. Room was small but comfy, en-suite small and limited hot water. Access to hotel via very small lift (took our suitcase and perhaps one small person) or 47 stairs! Kept very clean and staff lovely and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities in foyer plus a microwave?? For breakfast they give you tokens to use in a nearby cafe - 5 minute walk over some very busy roads and you only got 1 plain croissant, a glass of juice and 1 cup of tea or coffee anything else was extra. I question whether it was value for money.

Nice hotel, but not the best for first time travel
If this is your first time in Italy or Europe, and you do not speak the language, this may not be the best place to stay. It is more like a B&B than a hotel. Although the owners/workers were responsive and helpful, it is not like a hotel where they have someone to help you with questions or getting a taxi 24/7. Also, the location is not at central, so if you are traveling to Rome for the first time and need a lot of assistance, this may not be the best place. Nevertheless, the people were responsive and tried to be very helpful. Room was smaller than what was shown in the picture; the pictures and options written were misrepresented by expedia. I'm not sure how other places are like, so I can't compare to other hotels, but the facilities and rooms were renovated and very clean.

Would recommend to anyone! (great for Gluten Free)
These beautiful, boutique rooms located on the second floor of a traditional apartment block make a wonderful base for a city break. We were looked after from the moment we arrived and we were sad to leave. Good bus and metro links close by and within walking distance to the sights of Ancient Rome. The staff really made our trip special with recommendations and advice for new visitors to the city. We will return!

Immaculately clean
Very convenient for a 2 night work trip when I needed to be around San Giovanni. Immaculately clean room and helpful, friendly service - even when I arrived at midnight. More of a Pensione than a hotel. Nice to get out to a local bar for breakfast with coupons
