Very reasonable price for Rome. On 5th floor, but small elevator works fine. Location good, but need to take Bus or Subway to major sight-seeing attractions. No problem since Bus and Metro stops are 1 min away! Numerous decent restaurants within 15 min walk. 10 min metro ride from Termini train station. A little noisy as near busy intersection, but tolerable with windows closed. Heat pump provided. Heat works fine; didn't need cooling but assume that works too. Angela was attentive and helpful. Would stay here again!

Angela’s LateranoInn (4th floor) place is great
Angela was super kind. Very flexible with check in. I used a local Italian 20 euros SIM card in my spare old iPhone so I was able to phone her - local call. She let us check out an hour later than scheduled and we were able to store our bags in her office/kitchen area. We got stuck in elevator because there were 3 of us & it only holds up to 220 kilos......we were 2.7 kilos(6 pounds) over!!! Our friend knew how to release a hidden latch so we could open the door. Angela luckily was there so she fixed problem & was super patient. The en-suite bathroom in the spacious triple room was super small & there was a strange high step in & out of shower. The step was super close to the toilet. No bidet in bathroom. It’s on a Main busy Street & with window open, you can hear lots of traffic. Double glazing works well to block out most of noise. Pillows not very comfortable if you like softer pillow. Mattress was just ok but we’re spoiled & used to tempurpedic. The pillows in all the hotels in Italy we stayed at were all very uncomfortable. Again we sleep on high end feather & down feel pillows at home. Spoiled. Great location as it’s close to metro A; tram & Buses. Great food in area and reasonably priced. St John Lateran great area and is safe. Although like in all big cities, you have to be careful & keep alert. Our local friends told us Best to walk in company these days no matter what area you are in. I’d definitely stay with Angela’s place again 🤗

This hotel was great for the price point - the room was clean and very large, which was a plus. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi were both excellent. It is very close to the Metro Station and the bus stops and only a 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. Dinner options were a bit limited, but if you were prepared to walk or bus towards the Colosseum they were much better.

Easy access to metro plus several buses (51, 81, 87), and very accommodating with bags left before and after check in/out. We walked to Colosseum, took metro to Vatican, and also explored the local area. Recommend Spaccio Pasta, a few blocks away.

Good, standard accommodation, well located.
Promptly met by our host, Angela who was very helpful explaining things on our arrival. Was happy for us to leave bags in the hotel after checkout and organised a shuttle for transport to the airport on our departure. A good base for seeing the sights of Rome. Rooms tidy and clean, shared bathroom with other guests although one room had its own bathroom.

Great location & GREAT hospitality!!
We were greeted by Angela when we arrived & told her our bags did NOT arrive. She took care each day of calling the airport & was there to get the bags when they arrived. She also gave us advice on local restaurants & sites. The room was sparkling clean & very comfortable..We shared a bath & never ran into anyone else using it. We will definitely stay at the Inn again if we get back to Rome. Angela was a great comfort to us & made our stay sooo much easier than if we had to follow through on our own. She also arranged our return trip to the airport for us.The morning croisants & coffee was also a great treat!! Thank you for everything Angela...

Perfect for a few days sight-seeing
Thank you Angela for a lovely stay in Rome. Spent a long weekend sight-seeing in Rome and the Laterano Inn was ideal. It's 200m from a metro station so getting in and out of town was easy, but also just 10-15 mins walk to the Colosseum. The room was big, clean, comfortable and bathroom fine. Breakfast was a pastry and a coffee from the cafe next door which was good too. The neighbourhood is residential so not much in the way of nightlife on the doorstep, but that was perfect for us after long days walking the streets of Rome. We'll stay again next time we're in Rome

this hotel is in a very narrow street behind the cathedral...there is a little red sign out side of the hotel that is hard to see...overall hade good experience ...close to shops public transportations...if you have a car be prepared to pay 20 euros per night for public parking

Really nice find as this room had air con and a kettle, which is a big plus for this price range in Europe. Even a fridge and a welcome jar full of biscuits! Large room, private bathroom spotlessly clean. The shared bathroom opposite also looked clean and there aren't that many rooms to share it. Do not be put off by the approach to the building, you are minutes from the Metro and the construction going on in the area posed no dust or noise problems at all. In fact it reduces traffic noise. As the hotel is really just a very large 4th floor apartment divided into rooms there are no other facilities or concierge, so you will need to warn of late arrival by replying to helpful email. Your host Angela is very welcoming and helpful but she does not speak much English, so use the free WiFi for tourist info. Breakfast is a voucher for coffee and croissant at a nearby local coffee bar, but that's better than nothing. Three stops from the colloseum and the walk is also not too far. Recommend two things: buy two day tickets from the forum/palatine ticket office where the queue was tiny and then visit the colloseum with it on the second day (effectively skipping the enormous qs at the colloseum itself). Second, you are close to Porto San Sebastiano where the Appian Way (Via Appia Antica) begins. This is a fantastic evening walk or rent bikes during the day and take in the catacombs. Traffic reduced on Sundays. 218 bus from San Giovanni. The whole walk is 8km so catch the 664 back.

We did our europe trip,Rome was the second stop for us,it was very comfort to stay in Laterano inn,the owner Angela was the best ,she helped us on our taxi n luggage. i will definately stay there again if i do go back to Rome.

Angela emailed us before to confirm what time to meet us at the place which was really Very good, it's 4th floor but a lift so no problem. Room had double and single which was idea as travelling as mother daughter combo. Room has fridge with juice and water, kettle coffee and teas but no milk, when we mentioned we used milk this arrived before we had unpacked.just around corner from A line metro perfect for sites and the night we arrived the Pope was as San Giovanni church so perfect, yes building work behind building but we were up and out early and not back til late so no problem. Breakfast was cake & coffee at Lady bar downstairs which was again fine and on Sunday across the road. For us it did the job perfectly and would stay again.
