Al Viminale Hill Inn & Hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Roma Termini. It's fairly easy to find, and Francesco contacted me a couple of days before our arrival. After confirming we would be arriving after hours, he contacted me directly on WhatsApp with clear instructions on how to do self-check in for after-hours and then to check-in the next day during normal hours. He was also very helpful with giving us a local area map and answering any questions about directions and such. The double room itself is a bit small. We had two large suitcases, so those eat up most of the side space in the room. The shower was our only issue, water pressure is a bit small and takes a while to warm up the water...They only had "fan" or "heat" options for winter months, so it did get quite warm in the room, and the a/c system won't work if the window is open. Overall, I would recommend Al Viminale Hill Inn for anyone looking for a pretty centrally located hotel in Rome. Only about a 15-30 minute walk to most sites, and easy to get to the train station, metro and buses which is a plus if you have luggage to haul. Easy to call taxis in the area about 1-2 blocks up to the bigger streets.

Awesome spot to stay within walking distance of everything you could want to see, but just outside the bubble of the busier and louder streets. We were happy to have great dinner and drinks options all around us.

The Hotel was very well located, close to the Train station and has a lot of dining options around. Room and bathroom were more in the small side but comfortable enough if you are just going there to rest and sleep. Staff was nice. Wifi worked ok. Overall was good.

Room was clean but small for 3 people. Third bed was just a chez lounge and not a sofa bed. Limited storage. No milk for tea and coffee. Nowhere to eat in hotel and you have to out in the street and try and find somewhere for breakfast. Misleading photographs on Expedia site.

Great place. Only downside was that I had booked 4 rooms for 7 people. When we got there as the single person I was led to the ‘single room’, which was a double bed, but was actually a pull out sofa bed. The shower head was also not operating. To the credit of the hotel after the first night when I brought this up the immediately moved me to another room with a real bed and working shower.

Al Viminale Hill Inn is a very nice hotel. Convenient close to Rome Termini central station. Many nice restaurants for breakfast or dinner. Easy walkable to many Rome sightseeings. Will stay here again next time.

First time to roam in this hotel was perfect for us. It was in a great location close to the termini Station so we could walk to it. It’s a cute boutique hotel, and was always cleaned well while we were gone for the day.

We were sent a detailed video on how to check-in outside of their office hours. We had trouble finding the keycard but we called on WhatsApp and it turned out we were looking in the wrong spot - our mistake! Thank you to the staff for answering and being friendly. The room is very tiny but this is to be expected. As others have said, they make excellent use of the space and we never felt cramped. All the amenities worked great: cold AC, TV with lots of channels, mini-fridge, safe, and a small kitchen with complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies just outside our door. The bathroom and shower were great. It is important to note you may have to run the hot water for a few minutes before it gets hot. This is typical for very old buildings. Once it's hot it's steaming! We stayed for 3 nights and only needed the room cleaned one of the days. After a day of sightseeing we came back to an absolutely spotless room the same as when we first checked in. Thank you again to the staff! The hotel is easily walkable to most sightseeing locations in Rome. Because it's also in the "middle" of lots of sightseeing, it was convenient to stop in at the hotel to change clothes, fill up our water bottles, or rest between locations. Just outside your door is the beautiful Opera theatre and many wonderful restaurants and bars. The restaurant just around the corner that the hotel recommended (Osteria il Riposto) ended up being our favourite. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Ai Vinimale inn. We couldn’t make it in time for the from 8:00am to 4:00pm check in time, so Daniele (who works at the front desk) reached out to us and sent us a video to explain how we could check in without any front line staff need. Front line staff Daniele and the young lady (whose name I have forgotten) she helped us look for a place that we could do our laundry were Excellent. It would have been over the top if we had a refrigerator in our room. Very nice place loved the service

The staff was attentive and very helpful. The rooms are incredibly tiny, but they really use the space well to accommodate. Rooms were clean and location was walkable for transportation, as well as main sites. Would say here again.

Enjoyed our stay at this cozy and convenient hotel. Just a five minute walk from Roma Termini station. Clean, comfortable room and beds. Modern bath. A/C (thank goodness!) Coffee station just outside our room. Walking distance to many of Rome's attractions. Greeted quickly and efficiently. Lots of great advice from the front desk. Would stay here again when in Rome.

Location and room itself was excellent. The video they sent showing how to get In has to be Listened to but I keep volume off in public so was reading the Italian title which I thought said go to the 6th floor but It said go to the 3rd floor, room 6. It took a long time to figure out. And no one answered the 1 of 3 phone numbers that was mentioned to contact. They should change the title of the English video to English especially for hard of hearing or deaf people.

Staff were very helpful before starting our stay at the hotel. They communicated through WatsApp and always responded promptly. The building is old (so it has a character) but a room has modern facilities, such as a speaking door lock and a fancy bathroom.
