In the town centre
Did not score 100% overall as there was a low tone electric buzzing noise all night long coming from the A/C system which was turned off (room 312). You couldn't fail from listening to it and this didn't call for a restful night. Management is very friendly and accommodating and I will be returning to this hotel (not #312).

Good, clean, affordable, very basic breakfast
Quick check-in, the hotel restaurant is quite good. Breakfast is very basic with spotty service and lack of replenishment (ran out of hams, cheeses by 8am one day). Also, I could not operate the TV. The WiFi was fast and reliable.

comfortable, clean, in central location, good food
We were very happy with our overnight in this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and the man on reception spoke english and was extremely friendly. Evening meal good at a reasonable price. Breakfast just ok. An altercation in the kitchen, which could be clearly heard in the breakfast room was rather disconcerting, even more so because we could not understand what was going in as we do not speak Italian. However, we were very happy with the hotel.

Excellent quality
The Hotel Mariet is spotless. The hotel is totally family run and nothing is too much trouble. Would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and would always stay there on any future visits to Bergamo.
