"This is a place to put your head down and that's about it. Small cottage that has many miles on it. Beds and bedding were old and uncomfortable. Blanket consisted of a sleeping bag. Showers backed up into the tub. Air conditioner leaked onto the living room floor. It rained hard while we were there. had some time where we could not go anywhere. TV is broken. "This is a really great place. Super clean and comfortable. Great access to ocean. Steps to the beach. Dine outside on patio. Lots of beach accessories supplied and host super responsive. I would highly recommend getting a rental car, get a one day pass at Grand Isle resort and/or renting a boat to explore Stocking Island so that you can experience different areas of the island. We rented a boat from Exuma Boat rental, Allison and Exuma auto rental"

"We were greeted by someone when we checked in. Very friendly and great experience. The space was spacious and comfortable. Loved the screened in porch for meals and just enjoying the view of the ocean. Convenient location was close enough to town to walk, however we rented a car for our stay. Overall great experience and will definitely look at booking here again next time we visit the island."

"The property was amazing and the caretaker, Norman, was wonderful. He was very helpful, took us back and fourth to main island whenever we wanted to go. We were able to tie up to the dock, which was very helpful for us. The property could use a little bit of maintenance but otherwise was really nice."

"We enjoyed our stat at Xtoria West. The property was clean, stocked kitchen (spices and cookware...) plenty of towels. There are beach chairs and umbrellas. Washer dryer.View was incredible from the screen room. It even had TV. Food on the island wasnt to our liking but we brought frozen meat. Cant buy beef there, or deli meats. mostly chicken, food and drinks are expensive, pack accordingly. Roads are hard to drive on with all the potholes and on the left side, but we made due. "We had a wonderful experience staying at The Turquoise at Hoopers Bay Beach. The house had a nice wrap-around porch which was nice after a long day at the beach. The appliances were updated and the bathroom was super cute. The whole place was well laid out and comfortable. Our friend group would LOVE to stay at The Turquoise again one day."

"The owners were tremendous in helping us around the island to enjoy everything that you would want to experience. Great location, nice place, no issues. Had a car and was able to get from East to West. Grocery and liquor store was close, and when we needed something else, Larry and Simone were able to help us and get it. Wouldn’t trade anything for our stay, super happy with the room, location, and service. Will be back!"

"The room was clean and comfortable. The beach was amazing and the food and drinks at the restaurant were delicious. The hosts went above and beyond to take care of us, even trying to light a fire to keep the mosquitoes away while we ate outside. They were also very kind and let us leave our bags in the room after check out while we went on an excursion. I would definitely recommend this property, especially if you are on a budget."

Good communication with host. Resort restaurant did buffet on Sundays. You need to call them if you want service at other times. Free kayaks to use. Paddling to pig island takes only 30 minutes each way. Highly recommend renting a car. If your cottage has a kitchen, bring frozen food and staples...
