It was very peaceful and just secluded enough to be private, but not too far away from activities. Had a few cobwebs, but they added to the charm. Would stay here again! Host was amazing.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was nestled back in the woods with a very scenic deck and backyard. The listing was exactly as pictured and we felt very comfortable. We’ll be staying again!
Nice cabin in the woods, was exactly what we wanted, nice host, easy to communicate with

What a great place to sit back and relax on the back deck and enjoy the feel of days past in the house. Thank you for the games we had a blast playing The Andy Griffith Show Trivia. Also not far from Turkey Run and Shades. We will stay again!!
We had a wonderful week here!! Cabin is very cozy with a great location close to all out door activities in the area. Had 2 children 8 and 10 with us, that also loved cabin. The cabin has everything you need for your stay. Would definitely recommend cabin to friends and family!!
Wonderful weekend away!! Kayaked on Sugar Valley Creek and enjoyed this little cabin in the woods. We saw an owl when we pulled up and deer each morning.
We had a great time here! The back porch was our favorite part. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. It was a little farther from Turkey Run State Park than what it said in the booking description. Overall, it was perfect for our family vacation.
We loved this cabin in the woods! A short walk to Racoon lake in the morning for gorgeous views. The deck provided lovely private views. This location is also very close to Turkey Run. Don was very easy to communicate with. Overall this was a perfect place to stay while exploring Parke County!
These past 4 days of peaceful relaxation was just what we needed! We had everything we needed in the cottage. And a beautiful hike in Turkey Run State Park fulfilled the trip.
Thank you so much!
Cabin was just as listed. We loved sitting outside on the back deck to eat and play games. The walk to the lake access was so convenient and we all enjoyed playing in the water with the river tubes that we brought. It was very private and quiet.
The cabin was much better than the pictures. It had a really nice big covered back porch with several chairs. The kitchen/living room area was also very big and had plenty of seating. We were there for a graduation of my grandson in Brazil, Indiana. It had enough room for everybody to come out and visit for a day before we left. The owner was very easy to get information from. I would highly recommend it.

Adorable. Comforting. Very homey and great. Very little water pressure. But it was awesome
Quiet area with houses spread far apart and separated by many trees. Deer running through the woods. Clean kitchen with stove and microwave, perfect for preparing simple meals. Large covered deck in back for admiring nature, also with small charcoal grill. Bed comfortable and curtains thick for blocking out light.
We were happy with our stay. We were very impressed at how well stocked the property was. The owner seemed nice and was very responsive to my messages. The only thing we didn't like was the smell of the water. It had sulfur odor. Other than that, we were very pleased with it all.
The day of our trip the host contacted us to let us know the power was out indefinitely due to storms. We were sad our stay had to be cancelled, but the host gave us a full refund. Good comminication that saved us wasting our drive time. Appreciated working with Don!
