Midway between two picturesque places, the seaside village of Rockport and the historic fishing port of Gloucester, Sage Hill is the perfect vacation destination. Walk to Long Beach (about a 5 minute walk), or take a short drive to Good Harbor Beach.

Sage Hill is well appointed, with a roomy eat-in kitchen, a breakfast bar and an adjoining deck with comfortable seating – a great place for family and friends to gather. There are 3 bedrooms with AC, two queen and one double, as well as 3 full baths, including a full bath on the first floor. There is also a single bed tucked in a comfortable downstairs room, adding to your flexibility.

Sage Hill has plenty of outdoor seating, a large lovely deck and yard, a fire pit area, and an outdoor shower to wash the sand off after a day at the beach. The house is privately situated on a large wooded lot. Explore the surroundings of Cape Ann from your private and charming home away from home. Snip some herbs from the garden, watch humming birds at the feeder, toss a book from the library into your beach bag and enjoy your stay.

Rockport birthday get away
The purpose for our stay in Rockport was to celebrate Dad’s 70 birthday. Our one daughter and son in law were in Boston that Friday evening for a wedding, and Rockport worked. We could bring our 2 dogs as one is old, and health issues don’t make her kennel posssible. The home was clean, property lovely. Only down points: no hand towels, and only 2 dish towels, the smalllest liquid dish soap bottle, and one allotted roll of paper towels. We bought these items. May seem petty, but it was annoying. We would consider staying again , but maybe for a week so we could really enjoy the area.

Nice place.
Everything went well. Toilet and sinks have a problem with drainage. Master bath shower drain didn’t work so I removed it. Outdoor fire pit is gas even though it is shown as wood and I confirmed the day of our arrival it was wood so I bought firewood to bring. The fireplace inside has 2 notes saying how to use and don’t use. Some paint in the deck railings is needed and the siding can use some cleaning to remove the moss. Overall a nice place but we should not have to deal with these issues at this price.

Sage Hill looks like a home, not just a rental property. It is full of charming details: paintings, posters, souvenirs. It is also very well managed; the managers responded immediately to any of my questions.

Wonderful house, close to beautiful Long Beach

Reviewer Comments: Comfortable and clean house with a well-stocked kitchen and three full baths, making it great for families. Mattress in the master bedroom is very firm. Others are softer. Sofas in living room are coming apart at the seams in some areas but not a huge issue for a one weeks stay. Washing machine did not work well (issues with drainage) but we didn't call it in as an issue. Wish the TVs were smart TVs to access Netflix, Amazon, etc.The house is on a busy road but set back a bit with a lovely yard. The best part is the short walk to Long Beach. It's a beautiful beach that's mostly for locals so it's not very crowded and good for social distancing.
