Low key, quiet, pretty sunrise directly across the property with the water and boats. The breakfast is homemade and very good. The area is ok, you can drive up the coast to Camden which has better shopping and restaurants.
The staff, the owners, live on the property right beside the inn are not as friendly as I would have liked. They were both there available but never offered us any advice about what to do in the area even though we probed. When trying to make conversation with Ed, it never went anywhere. If you are looking for a nice quiet place with a great breakfast included and don’t care to make conversation this is your place.
Inn owners are very kind. They recommended a wonderful place walking distance from the Inn that had fresh pasta with an outdoor patio (Ada’s Kitchen). At the Inn—It’s not fancy, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was very good.
Wonderful gem right in downtown Rockland - lovely inn and furnishings, gracious host, wonderful freshly-made breakfast, informative, homey, comfortable. Can't wait to go back!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay...from the breakfast to the accommodations to the friendliness of the innkeepers! We will definitely return! Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!
The room was the perfect set up for traveling with kids. two nice-sized rooms, one with a king sized bed and one with two twins, with a small entry and shared bathroom. It is so rare to find such a set up--and to find it affordable.
Also, the proprietor was so helpful to me in printing and copying some documents I needed urgently. It made our stay and life much easier on a busy day.
Wow, what a lovely place! Ed and Joan are fabulous hosts. The rooms are super clean and nicely appointed and the breakfast is fantastic. Wonderful location overlooking the water and in the downtown area. Would definitely recommend and would return next time we’re in the area.
This place is one of the best overall values around. It’s a really cool place and VERY clean. He owners are really nice people and the breakfast was fantastic!
The Granite Inn’s breakfast was delicious— the best breakfast that we had on our 16 day journey. The owner was very hospitable. We would definitely return.

The place was great - clean, friendly, beautiful esthetic, great breakfast. The biggest issue was the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was hard and even the slightest movement made noise - very off putting. Neither of us slept well. The bedding was ok but not luxurious. I suggest the Inn keepers go up and try the bed out. People are looking for comfort when they travel and the bed kinda ruined what would have been a wonderful stay.
Very nice place, The location is excellent. The owners are more than friendly, and they make you feel at home.
This is a comfy stay with plenty of common space and a good-size dining room. The breakfasts are excellent, with a different selection every morning.
So much more enjoyable than generic corporate type hotel!

Bästa amerikanska frukost vi fått!
Bra läge i byn , inrett i modern klassisk stil. Värdparet var hjälpsamma och trevliga och erbjöd kaffe, kakor, te, vatten, frukt och tillgång till kylskåp dygnet tunt. Vi hade ett rymligt och trevligt rum med utsikt mot hamnen.
