With seven miles of picturesque, sandy shoreline and a chain of inland lakes left behind by a long-ago channel of the Nehalem River, Rockaway Beach is one of the coast's most popular spots for outdoor enthusiasts. Boating, fishing, crabbing, sea kayaking, and sandcastle-building are just a few of the area's star attractions. The heart of downtown is less than a mile south, where you'll find an assortment of casual eateries and cute shops. Don't worry - the grocery store is close by too! Just south of town, photographers flock to the beautiful Twin Rocks for a jaw-dropping image of the sun sinking below the horizon.

The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Decent but dirty
Wonderful location, great size for a small group, but the house needs updates as it appeared pretty dirty. There was a stain on the ground that looked like blood, stains on both bed sheets & found hair in the bed before we slept in it. Was going to come back with children, but decided not to because of the outdatedness and uncleanliness.

My father and I traveled from PA to visit OR. Fell in love w the Pacific Northwest. This home is right on the beach. It’s not 5 star by any means, but the beds were very comfortable and showers have nice pressure and very hot water.

Was a few steps from the beach which was awesome. The home was spacious. It needed some upgrades though. There was grout missing in the bathroom floor, brown water damage on parts of the baseboards, plastic shower curtain was missing so all the water was mildewing the cloth curtain.

House was adequate and a decent place to stay. Loved how close it is to the beach and that it has a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Some parts of the house are in disrepair and need fixing/updating. Such as gaps between baseboard and wall, parts of baseboard brown with water damage, floor missing grout in bathroom, bathroom missing plastic shower curtain and fabric curtain has turned pretty gross from repeated water exposure.

All you need
This was a perfect spot to meet a friend and spend a few days relaxing with my senior dogs. Simple beach cottage with a great location. Right on the beach, enjoyed coffee on the bluff. Will stay there again.

Life is a beach …
We loved our stay! Thank you for sharing your bungalow and allowing our best furry friends to join along. We’ve been visiting Rockaway since we were kids in the mid ‘80s, and very happy to have found this cozy bungalow on the beach.

Nice little house on beach
We stayed for four nights and absolutely loved the location to the beach literal steps away. The house gets great stars for that matter was nice for our dogs as well. The cleanliness of the house was not good at all, there was fresh dog poo on the couch like one stepped in it I couldn’t believe the house keeper didn’t see it, I was able to wash it off but was completely turned off by sitting on either of the couches. We put sheets over them to feel better about it. The beds were soft and comfortable but again all the linens looked pretty stained and gross could definitely use a little more time in there cleaning before the next guest. The kitchen was fine had pots and pans to cook with if that’s your thing, no dishwasher so again felt like we needed to clean dishes before using them so something to think about. Overall not horrible didn’t see any spiders 😂

Not what we experienced on our last trip.
Loved the private beach access and quiet tucked away neighborhood. We had stayed in this home 4 years ago, that stay was fabulous. This trip however, there were several cleanliness issues that need to be addressed. We will not stay in this home again. This was our anniversary weekend and it put a damper on our expectations. We will look for another home the next vacation we take.

Nice rental for a weekend at the beach
The property is well represented in the description. The heated floors in one bathroom was a welcome amenity as it was a cold weekend when we were there. The location was nice for us as we have a reactive dog and it is not on a busy part of the beach and the beach is just over the dune. There are beach toys provided (skim boards, kites, sand toys) which would be nice in a warmer part of the year.

sweet bungalow on the dunes
The front door of this little house opens right onto the grassy dunes with a short path onto the beach. No traffic noise--just the sound of waves. The house has everything you need for a comfortable and fun stay.

Cute and Roomy
Two bedrm two baths make this small home roomy. The updated bath with heated floor is nice! It really needs curtains and curtain rods for all the windows, would improve the esthetics. Nice and perfect for what we wanted. Like the path to the quiet beach, just wish I could see the waves and not just hear them. Was a nice stay!

Great location, but need
The location is fantastic - beach is 20 feet away and it feels very private. Manhattan beach is not very crowded. Rockaway Beach is a fun town, well situated to visit Tillamook and various beaches/ small towns along the coast. The house was comfortable and well stocked with dishes, basic cooking essentials, and puzzles/games. Air conditioning worked well and we appreciated having a washer/dryer. Unfortunately the unit was quite dirty when we entered. It had not been swept and there was a significant amount of sand/dirt on the floor, shower, and even on the kitchen table. Shower shelves and other surfaces had old dried dead bugs on them. I really questioned whether the unit had been cleaned and if so, they are really slacking. I had to do some cleaning myself to make it feel livable, which was disappointing. There was an ant trap on the kitchen counter with a few ants walking across the counter. I did share this feedback with the local property manager who was responsive and brought me ant spray. Ultimately it was a very nice place to stay -- just needs better cleaning protocols.

The local crew responded when we asked for heat 18 hours after we called because it took that long for them to get the message. The Vacasa call center dropped the priority and need to "low", so it took 18 hours to get adequate heat in the bungalow. The exterior of the property looks run down and in need of TLC. The interior was spotless. Whoever cleans does a great job and they get a 6 star rating! It rained nearly the whole time we were there so we spent a lot of time indoors. Please check the number of throw rugs that are lying around in bathrooms, as they are tripping hazards. We liked the bungalow, loved the ocean, and enjoyed our weekend. But Vacasa's guest services call center is in need of improvement or a complete gutting and overhaul.

Great location, clean, just a lacking in kitchen amenities
The location was amazing, open the front door and you're on the beach. It was clean which is impressive considering the amount of sand that gets tracked in. The only issue we had was the kitchen was lacking in any kind of seasonings and Tupperware. We had no way to store any food that we made as there was no bowls OR zip lock bags. Also, the living room furniture was run down and the TV remote didn't work very well. It lagged really bad and the volume control didn't work on the remote or the buttons. The beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer was great to have. Overall, I would say it's a great place to stay, maybe just a little on the smaller side.
