"Great place and beach for a couple. We really enjoyed our stay. If you like fresh air all brand new screens and windows which is rare for Eleuthera. Many places simply rely on ac and non operable windows or screenless. We found we had everything we wanted: beach umbrella, chairs, blanket, towels. Comfortable bed! Owners very respectful of our privacy yet accommodating!!! Highly recommend!!"

"We went for a 5 day stay on the island and I saw this listing and I really loved what I saw. Everything was MORE than the listing. Jethro, the owner, is just an absolutley AMAZING host. He will give you thorough instructions on not only the property but on everything from where to shop to what to go see. He covers EVERYTHING, we hit almost all the things on the list and it was just a blast. Communication with Jethro is excellent, when we needed something which was twice, Jethro responded immediatly and delivered promptly. The property is secluded and the views are simply great! You really are within minutes of the beach and town.There is a porch on the second story and it's perfect, not only can you see all around, but the sky at night is just stunning... We laid on the deck one night and just watched the clouds pass over the moon with a perfect breeze and the sound of the ocean waves crashing. Truly remarkable.Fwiw we made our own breakfast onsite.. there was an eggpan I used and a toaster for my english muffins, there are other things to cook with too I just made breakfast though. It was very convienent to have these things to keep the cost from eating out a little lower. We took home leftovers and while there is a microwave.. we never ate the leftovers.. lol.. oh well... If you get a chance to stay here then you will absolutley NOT regret it!!Thanks Jethro you rock brother!!!"

"Words can’t describe how beautiful and tranquil the beaches are on Eleuthera. The Trade Winds house is a great central location to adventure out or simply stay in and relax on one of two balcony's. Easy walk (just across the street) over to pink sand beaches and within walking distance to Tippy's restaurant and bar. Nothing tops our host, Jethro, who is a wealth of information about the island and so kind to help when needed. We can’t wait to return next year! We will definitely book with Jethro again! "

"The property was spectacular with great areas for hanging out and especially with amazing speakers everywhere on the property. Also with a plenty of kayaks we were able to take bigger groups out to the reef right in the bay. We will definitely visit again. "

"Fantastic set up for us - (2 sisters in our 60's, an adult daughter & 3 of her girlfriends.) Room situation fantastic as my sister and I had our own en-suites on the main floor and the girls bunked downstairs together in the nautical room.Screened-in porch was wonderful! Feels like being on a boat. Nice to have pool right there and direct access to the beautiful Bahamian water. Fun to have kayaks and a SUP.Downside was that a few minor things didn't work in the house and the no-seeum gnats are pesky. And you have to drive quite a lot to get to places.But the beaches on the island are unbelievable and worth the price of admission.If you want a restful spot with incredible sunsets, this is the place. "

"Purple Papaya checked off all of our boxes. It was clean, with a pool, and the view, my God, the view. Everyday we walked on the beach, got in the ocean, got in the pool only to take another walk during the sunset. Watching the sunrise was life changing!! Only God could create something so beautiful and Purple Papaya provided that for us!!"
