Tons of great things to do in the area - state parks, shopping, restaurants, access to many lakes in the area etc... "We loved this little house on the lake while we were in the Detroits Lakes area hiking in 3 of the MN State Parks. The size and location of the house was perfect for us, and the furnishings were warm and inviting. From chilled bottled water in the refrigerator, to a sweet hadwritten note from the owners with the gift of a grilling mat, we felt like we were cared for as "family". Being able to walk out the backdoor down to the dock in the early morning with a cup of coffee and watch sunrise...

The backyard is fantastic, and we had a fire in the fire ring on the beach nearly every night.
