Such a charming place to stay in Rocheport. Sleeping accommodations were perfect for our group, also the living room and kitchen were perfect for hanging out. The house was within walking distance to pickleball courts, bike trail, shopping and restaurants. Looking forward to a return trip.
The Honey Bee House was a great spot for our family cycling trip on the Katy Trail. We've now visited twice and love the downtown Rocheport location and character of the home.
This house was perfect for us! 4 longtime friends to get away and catch up. We had everything we needed and plenty of space. The beds were comfy and we enjoyed hanging out in every room as well as the deck. The home was very clean and well thought out! The location was excellent and within walking distance of everything we enjoyed in the city as well as the walking trail.
We stayed here for daughter’s graduation weekend. It was close to Mizzou, but still far enough away to be able to have a relaxing weekend far from the chaos of campus. Lots of space to spread out, great deck, super clean, responsive hosts, and close to cute shops & the Katy Trail. We would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay at your homey house. Thank you for the honey, bread, and the breakfast essentials. I would suggest this house for visiting rocheport or for a place to stay for a mizzou trip.
Well stocked and well designed two story bungalow—great for a small family or couple looking for small- town charm and a relaxing weekend. Close to restaurants, winery, hiking/biking trails, all kinds of antique and art shops. Love the wooden floors and the walk-in shower. It is in a very convenient location—I loved staying here!
The home is clean and well maintained, updated and yet much of the early 1900's charm remains. I'd definitely return for another stay. Close access to the Katy trail, Les Bourgeois Vineyards, and Meriwether Cafe and Bike Shop.
Great location for riding the Katy Trail! Perfect setup for three couples to visit and hang out in the evening. Whether outside by the fire pit or inside watching football, eating meals or playing cards - plenty of room to hang out and visit. Near shops and The Rocheport General Store.
Comfortable, well equiped home in a small, quiet town. A short driving distance from Columbia and Booneville. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck and enjoying a bottle of wine from a local winery and a walk on the Katy trail. the tv in the living room either didnt work or, more likely, required more detailed instructions for senior citizens like us.
First: We were missing part of the instructions to enter property. It had ants in the kitchen, and dirty washcloth in lower bath that was not properly cleaned. The kindness of a Rocheport business saved the day for our getting into the property.(Thankful for their intervention.)

Rocky Stay in Rocheport, MO
A Very nice little house in Rocheport, MO until we checked in. Trouble with Electronic lock which owner was quick to help with. We loved the look of the remodeled kitchen & bathrooms, until we looked in drawers & saw mouse poop! Mouse poop on counters & on dresser in bedroom. Pulled back the bed covers & you guesed it, mouse poop. That was the deal breaker. We got out of there after seeing that!
We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday by doing dinner at the Bistro and then Abigails while having our home base be at the honey house...
What a perfect little renovated house this was to come back to!
We watched a movie on the flat screen in the comfy living room one night, sat on the back porch that over looks some green space on another evening. The walk in shower is perfect, the master bedroom was comfortable, dark and quiet. The hosts left us bacon, eggs, crossaints and some honey for our breakfast...along with several bottles of cold water in the fridge (which was perfect for our bike ride on the Katy trail one morning!) My wife brought her own bike, and I was able to use one the provided bikes. All around, this was a perfect stay, and we will definitely look it up again for a weekend getaway from KC. Thank you so much for the SUPERB accomodations! We will be back!
We loved spending 2 days at the Honey House. It has so much charm and you’ve updated, but didn’t take away the charm. We enjoyed the shops and the artists in town also.
Overall, was a nice experience. Master bed and bath upstairs were amazing!
We may have challenged the kitchen more than usual, as we cooked the full, traditional Thanksgiving meal. Kitchen lacked some measuring spoons, cups and other cooking/baking utensils.
Gas grill on deck appeared rusted out and unusable (not willing to take a risk with gas and an open flame 😉).
There were several plastic bags on the ground under the deck that appeared to be dog feces. We avoided them and just focused on the fire ring in the backyard already loaded for us with kindling to start a nice fire (although we had to borrow a lighter from the local store as the lighter in the kitchen drawer was out of fluid).
Had a wonderful stay with our pups - just a short ride to the Katy Trail. Only one restaurant open for breakfast while we were there, but Meriweather’s was great! Fall colors just beginning to show!
The Honey House is a wonderfully remodeled house with great amenities. If you want to vacation in a quiet setting or cycle to your heart’s content on a scenic bike trail this is an excellent place to go.
We used the Honey House in Rocheport as our home base for moving in our two boys into Mizzou. It was an extremely convenient location yet away from the frenzy of move in week at Mizzou. The house was charming and had everythng we needed. Loved the little town as well. Enjoyed the shops, restarants, and winery. Even did a bit of cycling on the Katy trail. We will definately be back.
We loved our stay at the Honey House. Perfect location, and great spaces to relax together. Jessica was a very responsive host. We will definitely stay here again.
