"This is a beautiful apartment on the edge of a small town called Castelnuovo dell’Abate. It's not in Montalcino, but a short drive to it. We stayed here because we were visiting a few wineries close by. When staying in a small Tuscan town, it's best to look for a place like this that's right on the edge. "If you want to experience authentic Italy, add an olive farm. This is your place… It is very clean. Quite a drive to get there, make sure you do your grocery shopping prior to arriving. There is nowhere to purchase anything nearby. It is a 20 minute drive. The host mother and son are very lovely people. They do not speak any English however they are excellent with Google translate."

"The address of the hotel was wrong on the Hotels.com web site. After an anxious hour or so our host was kind enough to come and get us, we were on foot walking the Via Francigena and the additional 4 miles back would have been a killer. Our host arranged for a cab the next morning so we were back on schedule. Worth the cab expense to keep on schedule. Wonderful evening meal and a great hotel. I would visit it again."

The property was very comfortable for all of us and it was the perfect way to end our MBA. "The pictures do not do this place justice. From the moment we booked we were treated like family, the good kind. You will not even get in the door before you will just stand on the front patio and bask in the view. As we entered we were struck by several things. 1. It is spacious. 2. Everything is so clean. 3. The decor is the perfect balance of elegance and homey. 4. The remodeling was done well, not cheaply. 5 And this is huge... No Perfumes! There is no odor to cover up. Thank you for that!...
