"We have never been in a hotel quite like this - an old hunting lodge made by a prince in 1910. It is (way) off the beaten path - access is via a two- mile dirt road. Totally quiet and peaceful - personal attention. There were only two other guests while we were there."

"We had an amazing experience at Casale Margherita. Very easy to get in touch with via WhatsApp, scheduled taxi rides for us to surrounding areas for a fee. The gentlemen that drove us to a surrounding city and again to the bus station the next day was so wonderful, brought us for a traditional Sicilian coffee and cannoli nearby. The pool was incredible. Would highly recommend. "

"The property was very clean and located just above the town square. The owner met us after hours to let us in. He was pleasant and helpful. The elevator was a big help because I had my 82 year old mother and steps are hard for her. Overall we were very pleased! "

"Very welcoming. Arrived late due to heavy rain and the property was difficult to find. The road up to the Masseria was a rough stoney track 1km in length. Carlos made a special effort to make us a superb meal as we had arrived so late, nothing was too much trouble."

"In een prachtig landhuis werden we vriendelijk ontvangen. De dame sprak geen Engels maar ze deed haar uiterste best om ons te verstaan. We hadden een super kamer met bubbelbad. In de tuin is een zalig zwembad. Het ontbijt is prima, maar niet zo uitgebreid met verse broodjes."

"Property located adjacent to very old olive tree orchard. Scenic mountain back drop with ocean view. Spacious upstairs flat with full amenities. Beautiful pool and garden in the yard. Private driveway. Only 2 cons, must have rental car because located in a hard to access part of Trabia, roads are difficult to navigate. And property owners speak very little English, so just plan to use google translate. Highly recommend if you are looking for the real Sicilian experience!"
