"We booked here for 2 nights, but only stayed an hour, as we were upset about the poor animals living on the 'farm'. Nothing wrong with the rooms or the swimming pool, but the poor horses & donkeys are kept in awful living conditions. One horse had a huge wound on his leg, which was oozing with puss & covered in flies. The horses are very thin, with prominent ribs. The donkeys have no fresh water, only a green slimy area. Their feet are overgrown & with big cracks. The hotel manager claimed they...

"My family and I had a lovely experience staying at La Cucchetta. We only stayed for one night but I would recommend this accommodation for a weekend or longer. The grounds and the views of the lake are spectacular, and the staff is lovely and friendly. I will book again if I have the chance to go back to the area. "

"Lovely farm based Agritorismo with friendly helpful owner. Quiet bedroom with clean bathroom. Lovely breakfast with too many home made cakes to choose from! Sadly it was only a stopover on our way home. Beautiful gardens with domesticated rabbits roaming freely."

"The service was terrible: no hot water, not sufficient sheets for the number of beds…construction workers showing up at 8:00 am to work in the unit…of course, because there were broken things in the washroom and even holes in the walls…and the check-in process was a nightmare ( multiple calls and messages without response…). When we booked this place we assumed it was a hotel, it is not. We have been staying in hotels in several italian cities and this place was the worst by far."
