Gorgeous Rustic Cabin

Our One Bedroom Rustic Cabin is surrounded by nothing but water and woods. Large covered back deck,, large porch with gorgeous views of the mountains, the pond or the waterfall. All the amenities you'll have at a 5 star lodge. Originally built as the caretaker's cabin for a large trout farm many years ago, this cabin is exquisitely decorated to capture the era of this bygone time. Step back in time and relax in the total seclusion of nature.
Your are in the woods away from it all. SO.... you may see a bear, boar, snake, mouse, otter, deer, or other critters. If that is a problem please book else where.
PLEASE if you come here follow our directions GPS and Google maps will get you lost.
And when you get lost you won't get a cell phone signal.
We do not recommend coming here with children under 5. And please keep your pets on a leach.
PLEASE NOTE, Before you book this cabin please know we are deep in the Southern Appalachian Highlands back in the wood very remote. We have bear, boar and snakes here. Anyone that tells you otherwise is not telling you the truth. Unlikely you would see them and of course we don't invite them on our property, they just sort of wander here every now and then.

Our Unplugged Getaway
This was our second time staying at Hemlock Hideaway and it was just as perfect as before. Rob and Robin are the perfect hosts and are so personable and helpful. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We brought our food and only left to go on a few adventures! I 100% recommend the Hemlock Hideaway if you want to get away from it all. There is WiFi but it’s spotty so bring a good book and relax!! We will be back!!

Our week in Paradise
When we arrived and opened the door our words were “This is perfect!”, and it was from beginning to end. The quaint little cabin is the perfect place to get away from it all! The creek just steps away from the back porch seals the deal, it’s like a brain massage. We have already booked next years stay.

Christmas Cabin getaway
Had a great time at the cabin. It is a small, but cozy cabin perfect for me, my husband and our dog. Took long walks along the gravel road and enjoyed the creek. Had an issue with the hot tub, but Rob and Robin were quick to fix and we were able to enjoy our last two nights using it. Definitely plan on another trip to the cabin.

Quiet getaway
Perfect place for some peace and quiet. Lovely location by the river. Very quaint and well appointed. We didn’t have cell service, land line or internet so it was challenging to communicate with the hosts or look up things to do or attend our telehealth doctor appointments but that was out of their control and they worked to fix it as fast as they could. Highly recommend!

A true getaway from it all.
The property is truly peaceful & the cabin is romantically rustic & cozy. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The sound of the creek and the warmth of the hot tub will sooth all worries and stress away. The cabin is somewhat remote, not a basecamp, but a destination to come & stay a few days to escape. As soon as we arrived we new we wanted to come back one day. It’s a special little place. Thanks for sharing.

Picturesque Perfection
Pictures do not do this place justice! The cabin is cozy with plenty of space for 2 adults (plus a kid next visit). Kitchen: The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked all weekend. We originally planned on grilling because there are gas and charcoal grills and utensils, but it was too windy to grill. We ended up using the oven which worked fine! The pot holder is in the drawer with the dish cloths. Bedroom: The queen bed was extremely comfortable. We always bring our own pillows. The heated blanket and view from the window made nights and mornings delightful. Technology: Just as mentioned, there is very poor cell service, but the Wi-Fi and landline worked great! The Smart TV had Streaming services that kept us entertained when the weather kept us inside. Outdoor Areas: Wow! I could have sat outside all day! Each of the porches had views of the water. The rocking chairs by the front door were extremely comfortable and sturdy. The back porch off the bedroom had a lovely table with a breath taking view of the waterfall. Our favorite time using the hottub was about 9pm under the stars. The sound of the water and warmth of the water in addition to the thousands of stars made for a romantic evening. My favorite spot is down the path visible from the hottub porch. Take a cup of coffee or glass of wine to this serene location. Our hosts were kind and answered any questions that arose. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Hemlock Hideaway
My husband and I had a peaceful and relaxing stay at this charming cabin. We enjoyed being outdoors, listening to the sounds and seeing the beauty of nature that totally surrounded us. The cabin itself was furnished and equipped with everything needed for a restful, off the beaten path vacation. There are several places on the property to sit and relax or you can fish in the stream, sit by the firepit or soak in the hottub. Rob and Robin were most welcoming and were quick to address and respond to any questions. We've already booked a return trip next summer.

Charming cabin.
This cabin is the perfect place to get away for a few days. There is lots of hiking nearby in the Joyce Kilmer Forrest. You're also close to Nantahala National Forrest if you prefer to take a hike. The quiet road right in front of the cabin is also a great place to stretch your legs. The cabin itself is cozy with a beautiful creek right next to it and a little fire pit for some campfires. There are plenty of twigs around the surrounding area to build your fire. The hosts were great as well. We will definitely return for another trip.

Adventure to say the least!!!
This cabin is a beautiful setting. Rushing water, water fall, cabin in the woods, and quiet. We had a full experience of nature from deers to a bat in the bedroom (hairy little creatures). Had a blast the entire time we were there.

Overall it was great
First and foremost this property is absolutely gorgeous! We loved being able to walk around and take our daughter to the creek, she is obsessed with rocks right now, her and our boys enjoyed themselves. My personal favorite part was the giant soaking tub! My husband loved how quiet it is out there. You hear neighbors drive by, but other than that you just hear the roaring creek. You would expect to hear it in the cabin, but it’s very well insulated so it sounds like a ripple. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Another fantastic stay!
This is our 3rd stay at this gem. We had an absolute blast at the cabin. I caught and released over 25 fish this time in the stretch out back with some being very nice keeper size. We both slept incredible all week, the sound of the stream is bliss. Apart from hiking up the mountain road, we barely left the cabin. It has everything you need! Thanks Rob and Robin, we really appreciate you.

We've been to this cabin before and booked multiple trips after our first stay. Absolutely love it! Great for fishing or just hanging out. Make sure you pay attention to the directions since it can be difficult navigating the first time.

Perfect mountain getaway!!
We had an amazing time here at The Hideaway Cabin, location is perfect for sightseeing and peace. The owners are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We will be going back one day, as we didn’t get to see everything we wanted. Cabin is well stocked, washer/dryer was a huge bonus! As mentioned, the kitchen was stocked with every we needed to cook, which we did every morning and twice for dinner. We did have lunch at two local restaurants and they were both good. Thank you again Rob & Robin for such a wonderful time at your place!
