Experience tranquility in this stunning 4-bedroom home nestled in a serene neighborhood on the East End of the island. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the West End and cruise ship destinations, this property is ideal for a vacation that balances relaxation with adventure.

Your journey begins as you leave the airport, traversing charming island towns and eventually winding down a dirt road (4x4 or AWD recommended) to reach this hidden gem, where breathtaking mountain and ocean views await.

Surrounded by the beauty of both the ocean and lush jungle, you’ll find the perfect sanctuary to unwind. This unique octagonal home is designed for those seeking a peaceful escape. Here, you won’t encounter shops, restaurants, or tourists—just pure paradise.

With four spacious, tastefully decorated bedrooms, this home is perfect for couples, families, or a getaway with friends. Each bedroom is equipped with fans and air conditioning, alongside ample closet and dresser space. Two master suites - one on each level—feature king beds and private full bathrooms with beautifully tiled showers. The additional two bedrooms offer queen beds and share a full bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped to meet all your culinary needs, complemented by a bright dining area and a cozy living room, all air-conditioned for your comfort. Enjoy fresh seafood grilled on the outdoor gas grill, and while WiFi and Netflix are available, it’s a perfect opportunity to disconnect and truly relax at Hillside Paradise.

The property boasts two expansive outdoor areas where you can soak up the stunning views of the vibrant Caribbean Sea. On clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of the mountains on the mainland of Honduras. The upper deck overlooks the sparkling pool, where you can spend afternoons floating with a refreshing beverage in hand. The pool deck features hammocks and lounge chairs for leisurely sunbathing, as well as an outdoor shower. For added convenience, a fridge and half bath are located poolside. You can also indulge in an in-home massage, which we can gladly arrange for you!

Just steps from your door is fantastic snorkeling, with the reef located just offshore. Since the home is perched high on the hillside, it's best to drive down to access the beach. Relax and explore the amazing underwater world just off the shore!

Paradise Hill was Paradise
To start out, I gave the four stars for communication Only because before our trip, it would take sometimes days or weeks for us to get a response when we emailed. However, once we were on the island, communication was immaculate. We always got a response instantly and there was never an issue. I gave the four stars for location only because we really struggled to get to the location. We had a car that was not all-wheel-drive or 4 x 4 and getting up some of the hills we really struggled. The hills are gravel and dirt and there are rods and some of it is really Sandy. One time it took us six times to try and get up the hill. You have to really gun the car and be at 60 miles an hour just to start going up the hill by the time you get to the top of the hill you’re going about 19 miles an hour. The description on the property does say you need a 4 x 4 and I highly suggest that you get that if you’re going to rent the property. The property was super clean and it had absolutely everything that we needed or could imagine that we needed. It was well supplied. We really appreciate it so kudos to the owners. For people who have never been to the island, the check in process is excellent. We are building on the island and so we are there about four times a year and very familiar with the island and the process. The property manager is very accommodating and easy to work with. Definitely six stars to her! The accuracy of the listing is spot on plus more. Highly recommend!

Comfortable home with a view!
A comfortable house on the hillside with an expansive view of the sea and the mountains of mainland Honduras. Wonderful for a family looking relax and play in the pool and the ocean easily accessible by foot for some shoreline snorkeling. Road in best traveled with a four wheel drive with clearance. Caretaker and house manager both lovely, helpful and can share some really great stories. If a more remote location is for you, this checks that box. Exploring the east coast away from crowds allowed us beaches nearly to ourselves. May want to pick up bulk of groceries at the supermarket in Coxen Hole or French Harbor as it is more limited in the Calabash area for cooking in the well equipped kitchen. Thanks again to Sherri who was quite responsive in our communications!

Hillside Heaven
While the property is called Hillside Paradise, we think it is heaven! Perfect spot for those wanting outdoor adventure based vacation versus shopping and night life. This is our second year staying at the property and it felt like home. We embraced the dirt road to reach the house, power outages (electrical company issues), sand-flys, and smoke from mainland because we loved snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, and fly-fishing. TyTy was fantastic with his big smile taking us out on the center-consol boat and share his knowledge of the area and environment. We enjoyed the mangrove tour and dinners/drinks at Trico-Jonesville. Sherri and Brian are great hosts with prompt and clear communications and they helped coordinate last minute details. The home decorations are more than we expected and reflect the love the owners have for their house. This is great place to get away from electronics (even though there is WiFi and cell coverage) and enjoy the beauty of Roatan and the Caribbean.

Perfect
Our short 4 day stay at Hillside Paradise was perfect. We loved everything about the location and home. It was so peaceful with the most beautiful views. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back. We also went out fishing and snorkeling with Tie Tie- we can not say enough about this guy!! He is so kind and knows everything there is to know about the island, fishing and snorkeling spots. Sherri and Brian were also great to work with. Brian met us (I originally went to the wrong meet up spot:/) and led us to the house, gave us a tour and made sure we had what we needed before leaving. Thank you all for everything! We miss the dogs too!

Adventure to the other side
Great house.... they met us at the airport and we stopped to get necessities. It is off the beaten path but if you like that then you'll love this place. Little market about 15-20 minutes down the rugged dirt road (need suv for ground clearance) to get what you have forgotten. Cool beach bars to explore in neighboring towns if willing to drive. Had a local deliver us king crabs, fish and conch to the house. Tie Tie the caretaker brought us fresh tuna. We ate well and relaxed! Definitely recommend for the ones that want to see it all and experience the island.

Serenity
The home was as advertised. Beautiful view, extremely comfortable and well appointed. The home is on the quiet side of the island so stop at the grocery store on the way to the house. Tie Tie is the best guide as to where to go and what to do. Went out on the boat a couple days and had lunch at Trico. AMAZING! We would recommend this property to anyone. Sherri is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Awesome
Great place to sit back and relax or Jump in the boat with Ty Ty for a great tour of the island or some great fishing. Ty Ty gives the rental a personal touch that cannot be described in words. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great and even came looking for us after dark when he thought we might be lost going to La Sirina for supper. He is a great fishing guide and put us on the fish and made my Granddaughters 16th Birthday very special with some yellow tail and 2 big Wahoo and we lost another 3 big Whoo that morning. Sherri was great from the booking to the end and would book with her in a heart beat. Island car rental rented us a 4 door truck and you need a truck or SUV for this rental as the roads just are not made for compact cars. I am sending down Fishing tackle to Ty Ty as it is hard to find on the island and if you love to fish he is the guy.

East End Paradise
Great house with a beautiful view and pool. Definitely rent a 4-wheel drive as the last few miles are on gravel roads that are not well-maintained… but the drive is worth it. We were met at the airport by Deysi, who we followed to the grocery store to stock up on supplies and then followed to the house. Once there we were met by Ty Ty, who was a great asset. He gave us advice on where to go and what to do on the east end of the island. We took advantage of the “mangrove boat tour” and Ty Ty was a fabulous guide (highly recommended). Check-in and out was a breeze. Great water-pressure for showers, etc. and five-gallon jugs of drinking water provided (American stomachs can not tolerate the local water). Several good restaurants within a 20-30 minute drive. The house has its own dock and ocean access (about a 3-minute walk) and you can snorkel the reef (we saw lobsters and octopus and lots of various fish). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

House is great
The house is beautiful and lots of space I loved the property. There are couple of things that did not liked the road to get there is terrible and it's far away. Wifi is slow, and we had 2 days without connecting 😑 if you have kids or teens this is not a good idea! We had total of 4 kids and they were load at the pool at 6pm, and one of the neighbors showed up complaining about it and he was not nice at all!. Electricity is a separate cost, and it is super expensive.

Great vacation
We loved Hillside Paradise. Beautiful location. Away from crowds but not too far from restaurants, etc. Property manager very helpful, answered all my questions quickly. Easy to reach. Caretaker was great. Took us fishing and snorkeling. You can snorkel right off the dock (boats do come through so I would bring a diving flag if I went back). You can walk down the beach and fish on the flats. Pool was refreshing, hammocks relaxing. House was very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. We kept the house open as there was a nice breeze so we did not use much electricity.

Beautiful place to stay to relax, get away or play
The house easily accommodated four adults and was just as lovely as the pictures show. We were greeted by the property manager at the airport and then led back to the property. After that we were met by TyTy who offered to guide us in snorkeling, fishing and touring the island. He was available for as much as we wanted. The pool was another attraction to the property. After a week, we wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely will be coming back.

We call the area Conch Key
Stayed at 2 VRBO's and one other . This one was the best. Plenty of rooms and lots of amenities. Getting out here can be a bit rough at a couple if spots - especially if it has rained, but that's what makes this area special . It keeps the faint of heart and typical tourest at bay. Sherri was on top of things and their watchie man, Ty Ty - who lives next door is awesome. He took us on a fantastic adventure to.... well I am not telling because it's my new secret spot. 😏 thanks all . Wish I could have stayed longer.

2 weeks in paradise
We stayed at the Calabash property for 2 weeks over Christmas. The location of the property was pretty far away from town. On average took a 2 hour round trip to go to the nearest large grocery store (Eldons) but was definitely worth it to have peace and quiet. This property is definitely off the beaten path but it was just what our family needed. From the time we landed Sherri and Brian the property managers were absolutely wonderful! They met us at the airport, took us to the grocery store to stock up, then escorted us all the way to the property. Once arriving on the property we were met by Ty the groundskeeper. He was a huge asset to this rental. Not only did he help with any questions or assistance we needed but was nice enough to take our oldest son out fishing multiple times on our trip! We became very close with him over our stay and appreciated all he did for us. Sherri and Brian are just a phone call or message away for anything we needed. They were very responsive and helpful through our trip. I feel the need to emphasize about all of them as no matter how great a rental is if you can’t get ahold of someone when there’s an issue it can make or break your trip. We will most definitely be back and would love to stay at this property again. The fishing there was amazing! My son caught 13 different species of fish during our stay. The snorkeling right out front is amazing as well and Ty will show you exactly where to go to see the best fish and the reef. The neighborhood was safe. Never once did we feel unsafe at all during our stay. There is plenty of friendly local dogs that will come for food if they smell you cooking. That was also a highlight of our trip as our children really missed their own pets while being gone. On that note if you are not a fan of dogs no worries. Don’t feed them and they won’t stay. My only suggestions for future renters is if possible do not use the electric dryer or stove top. In Roatan the electric is very expensive and both the above listed are electric appliances. You are responsible for electric at this property like almost all the other ones on the island as it is a huge expense for property owners. Please don’t miss out an an opportunity to stay here as it was the highlight of our trip. Thank you again to Sherri, Brian, and Ty for making this one of our best family vacations ever!

Fantastic week in calabash.
Our party of five, including two teenagers and three adults, had a fantastic week in Roatan staying here. The house was perfect with lots of space, five bedrooms and bathrooms. The property managers were very helpful, meeting us at a nearby gas station to drive us out to the house and walk us through check-in. Ty Ty was available to resolve any issues that popped up quickly. The water access is a short walk from the bottom of the stairs and provided some incredible snorkeling and critter search time. My daughter found several nudibranchs, crabs, starfish and sea urchins, and made friends with a small fish named Tux. The only challenge for us here was access to diving was slightly difficult as we either had to drive down into Oak Ridge or a Dori was sent to pick us up. Other than that the amenities were amazing and all ways great.

Really comfortable home
We love this area of Roatan, so we were very delighted to find this rental home. Wonderful people, quiet and peaceful. It's tastefully and thoughtfully decorated. Beds are very comfortable, 2 king size beds was such a bonus, plus A/C..perfect! Rooms are very spacious. Having a pool was really great, very refreshing. The views are spectacular; you feel as though you are in a tree house with nature all around. Great snorkeling right out front and really close to some great fishing spots. Wifi was excellent compared to other locations we have stayed at, also good cell service if need be. Communication was great. Stephanie & Tweed were such great hosts, always available if need be, but were not intrusive. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We definitely recommend it and would love to come back again. If you want to be away from the crowds and experience what Roatan is really about, come out and explore the east end. You'll leave with great memories and many new friends.
