West Bay Beach is the most beautiful beach on Roatan Island and arguably the Caribbean. Our family of four stayed here over Christmas break. We loved the location near the amenities of West Bay beach but separated for some peace and quiet. Inside was clean and the deck a great spot to eat and enjoy the view.

Wonderful...can't wait to go back!
Clean, spacious and great location. Loved having Las Rocas dining and water taxi just 50 steps away. Like having our own private beach. Only downside was pool under repair.

This was our first time staying at the Las Rocas end of West Bay and we loved it. The sandy beach right in front of the condo is peaceful, but the bigger West Bay beach/restaurants/etc are just a few steps away. John (who is the on-site manager) responded immediately to the few requests we made (extra bottled water, taxi pick-up), and the check-in/out process was a breeze. We've already re-booked for next year.

Fantastic location. Place was great. Great having basically a semi private beach with Weat Bay a stones throw away. Los Roccas next door was a great dive shop and the bar as well was an added bonus. John was quick to communicate. Stock up on your grocery trip on the essentials if you don’t plan to make too many moves. Figure out what days are cruise ship or not as the West Bay beach will be much emptier. Great for swimming.

Location was very good and quiet within short walking distance to west bay. Place could use some work. A few knives were broken, door handle to bedroom hanging, patios door handle hanging and kitchen cabinet hanging. Washer/dryer was essential😊lots of towels/blankets available. Deck and patio furniture were covered with dust from nonstop construction in the back of the villa. Villa was probably amazing when it was new .

Overall Great Place
Clean and ready to go on arrival, the transportation option to and from the airport and grocery store was an excellent addition that is offered. Location is top notch just minutes away from the action but secluded enough to really wind down. All in all I would say it was excellent with one major caveat- The pool was still broke for the duration of our stay when we were reassured beforehand that it would be operational. We were extremely disappointed about this as it was one of the major things we were looking for in our rental property.

Celebrating
My youngest daughter graduated college and what a great way to celebrate her accomplishment. We snorkeled every day out the back door, my daughter and her friend became scuba certified with Bananarama ,exquisite sunsets, and, of course, fresh baked banana bread every morning delivered to our door. We would absolutely book this again.

Villa Joya West Bay Review
The building is now 20-25 years old and is starting to show "wear and tear". While it used to be somewhat secluded, it is now surrounded by constant new construction projects, with a great deal of traffic and noise. The rental is still in a great location and well managed, as well as clean. John John and Tulio work hard to keep it that way,

Paradise!
We had a fantastic stay and the whole experience was great from start to finish. Stacy was very communicative and accomodating to our requests and was very understanding when we arrived 2 days later than we intended. The location is close enough to West Bay that you can walk there in 2 minutes but out of the guste and bustle in a nice quiet part of the beach. John, the on-site property manager was very hospitable and is a true asset to the team. He helped us with advice and organising various things throughout the stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again for having us!

There’s not much to say that the other reviews didn’t mention. The palace is great! The location is exactly what we wanted- almost private beach steps away from the hustle and bustle of west bay. The space was clean and Tullio kept up with our water demand (4 five gallon jugs) They even left a cellphone to call the driver or maintenance. I didn’t try to call anyone else with it but I assume it would’ve worked. We’ll be back for sure.

perfect location
This condo was the perfect location. It was an easy walk to West bay but away from the crowds. You could also walk the opposite direction to West End . It was a little bit further of a walk, but not bad. The dive resort next door had a restaurant and for 25$ , we could jump aboard the dive boat for a ride to go snorkeling or catch the water taxi. There was a onsite employee that raked the sand and cleaned the pool everyday. Connie was fabulous, she immediately took care of a unexpected problem we encountered on arrival. There were towels, toilet paper, bug spray, paper towels, beach towels and blow dryer included.. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the pool or balcony. And if someone comes around selling banana bread , buy it.!!! It was delicious. . we had a wonderful stay.

Nice, clean beachfront condo
Property was super clean and had all new appliances. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils. Beds were comfortable and there were lots of sheets, comforters and towels. The view from the back deck was amazing. We walked to restaurants and shops in West Bay and took a water taxi, located right next door, to the West End. Connie was very responsive the few times I reached out to her. Our only concern was the pool deck as it was not in great shape. The side by the water was beyond needing replacement and there were no handrails to assist getting in or out of the pool. However, Tulio kept the grounds raked and cleaned up daily and John was always available if there were any concerns. He did assure us that plans to replace the pool deck were in the works.

Love This Location!!!
This is my fourth time on the island and my fourth time staying in these condos. From my many trips to the other end of West Bay and walks to West End, I don't think I would choose anything different. It's like your own private getaway with your own private pool. The pool is not large but it's large enough to hang out and keep cool with a great view of the ocean. It is hidden from the busy end of the beach yet so close to everything you need. It's like being in Kansas with the land of Oz on the other side of the boardwalk. And really, Oz is great when you're looking for it but there's really no place like home. Villa Joya fits that bill! The unit is clean, has everything you need, and Stacy has been great to work with. The rest of the reviews are right on with the snorkeling etc. I would also recommend a trip to Cayos Cochinos and don't forget to try a Monkey Lala next door at Las Rocas. Unless you're into the all inclusive thing, you can't go wrong at this location.
