Private log home, secluded retreat on Stonewall Jackson Lake area, 1.5 miles to resort main entrance. Located off of exit 91 Roanoke WV across from lake with lake view. 5-person hot tub, gas grill, fire pit, *YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN WOOD* Due to people burning up the entire stack we are no longer providing wood, quiet, clean, relaxing, full amenities. One bedroom on main floor, two bedrooms on second level. All bedrooms have a queen size bed. Nearby fishing access and boating. The golf course is located at the resort, they also have a boat launch, kayaking, restaurant & lounge. **CHECK IN INFO WILL BE GIVEN ON THE DAY OF YOUR CHECK IN.**
*On the day of check in I will send you a message with check in info.
* Please Google the area for activities and things to do. I work full time so I will not be answering these types of questions. You can search the internet for things to do in Roanoke or Weston, and nearby Stonewall Jackson Resort.
*The VRBO site should show the location of the house in the map and you can get directions from there.
*Google area hospitals and medical services so you are aware of their locations if you would need them.
*There is NO SMOKING in this cabin or on the porch area. You may smoke by the fire pit and dispose or butts properly. Read house rules. There are fees charged if you smoke in the house or leave butts in the yard.
*The cleaning fees cover the average cleaning, disinfecting, floor, washing linens, ect.. Please leave dirty towels in the tub or you can start them in washer.
*Please clean any dishes/pans you have used before you leave.
*Trash bags are provided. Please put all trash in a trash bag in the trash can. If you put trash in the outside cans, make sure the trash is in trash bags. The lids must be put back on the trash cans outside or the animals will drag it all out. Bags are located in the cabinet area under the kitchen sink.
*Please do not get in the hot tub with dirty or muddy feet, please do not have food in the hot tub. There are chemicals there for you to put in the hot tub during your stay to help keep it clean. Please leave the lid on it when not in use. We drain and clean it several times a month due to people spilling stuff in it and muddying it up. If the hot tub has to be drained and cleaned after your stay, extra fees will be charged. This causes inconvenience for the next guest due to water having to be refilled and will not be up to proper temperature on their arrival.
*PLEASE NOTE: If the hot tub has to be cleaned the day of your check-in, the water will not be up to temperature until late that evening or the following day. Please understand that we cannot foresee these types of incidents, our goal is to keep the hot tub clean for the next guest. We apologize if this would happen to be the case for any inconvenience it may cause.
*There are kayaks and life jackets available, if you have the means to use them and a vehicle to transport them, you may use them. A kayak user agreement must be signed for use of the kayaks. I will email you the agreement, just let me know if you want to use them.
*Please leave the cabin the way you found it. Extra cleaning fees may incur or deposit held if you leave the cabin a trashy mess.
*The gas station is 3 miles North and there is a pizza shop the opposite way on 19 south. There is room for boat parking in a grass area below the house. The marina has boat slips for rent overnight and the lodge rents Pontoon boats, kayaks, and canoes. The lodge does charge a entrance fee to get in you can do a day pass or season pass. You would have to call the Resort for pricing. If you are just going for dinner the charge is minimal, you tell them at the gate.
