"The stay started with being greeted with a home cooked dinner of oven roasted chicken and vegetables with a yummy dessert. After just over 24 hours of traveling this was so appreciated and just what we needed to start the two weeks.The Villa is beautiful and the support from the owner and his family and friends for any issues was wonderful to know we had should we need it. The recommendation to use Yannis at SevenCar Rental was exactly the type of local knowledge that you need when you are visiting a new area. The villa is perfectly located for exploring the island whether you want to go East, West or South and the town of Rethymno is a perfect town for shopping, chilling or eating. There are several great restaurants within a short drive. The outdoor oven with a supply of wood is a great option for cooking for yourself.And no review would be complete without mentioning the 4 legged tourist ambassador that greats you every time you come back to your home from home - Bella was the perfect bundle of energy that bounced around to say hi and brought a bigger smile to our faces.Thank you Yannis for sharing your villa with us and we look forward to staying again."

"A very charming small hotel. The hotel was an old olive oil producing village that fell into ruin. Each of the rooms has been renovated from small workers cottages to a charming standard. It is such a lovely, quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. The pool is idyllic, the only criticism would be that I think it should be adults only. The ambience was somewhat spoilt when there was a couple with a baby who was crying by the pool and had the parents speak baby talk which ruined the quiet setting, the hotel is much better suited as an adults only due to its quiet nature. Food was excellent, breakfast choice is vast and evening meals were always excellent albeit on the pricier side, but we ate there every night. The hotel is a bit isolated away from the main tourist areas but that suited us down to the ground to be somewhere quiet. We would return. "

"I had a lovely stay here and would come again. I will say that while the property is clean and the staff take care of it, it does need a little lick of paint here and there but overall it is a beautiful location and a true place to relax and recoup. I was disappointed that there wasn't yoga classes as posted, but I was able to book a private class with a teacher, who was great. Booked with their masseuse a few times as she was WONDERFUL (Rose if I remember rightly) Handy swimming pool right outside my room (salt). And a little general store on site which after realizing that Plakias is a 15min drive away, was good to have on hand. Scuba diving in the cove was gorgeous and there was a little spot you could jump straight into the ocean near the main pool. The cove is not the beach however, the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and up some very steep stairs. The view is amazing, but I'd recommend wearing solid walking shoes as there is loose gravel/rocks and the drop to the ocean is sheer. The entertainment was mediocre to be honest, and the location would benefit from a karaoke night in my opinion. All-inclusive does not include all drinks, beer and wine only. But the food was decent enough to not bother going into the town except for a treat. Great nudist beach nearby in Plakias, with regular beach down the road. Lovely little town. "
