We chose to stay in the downtown area because it's a great location, and this property has a lot of potential. However, it's poorly managed and somewhat run-down. It's clear that it's being managed remotely, with no local support to address issues.
After an eight-hour drive, we got off to a bad start when we didn’t receive the entry instructions until I had to call and ask for them. The bathroom had mold, which ultimately became the deal breaker. Some of the lights didn’t work, and despite contacting the host, they were never fixed. The main room was also very dimly lit. Additionally, I couldn’t connect to any of my streaming services during the stay.
The host did agree to change my reservation from two nights to one, but I only received $75 back, even after trying to clarify the refund. Essentially, they doubled the nightly rate and only refunded half of the cleaning deposit, despite the fact that we left the place cleaner than we found it.
In the end, we stayed in a well-maintained hotel for much less.
