"We recently stayed at this apartment and it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped inside we felt relaxed. The apartment itself is spacious, providing ample room to relax, with a thoughtful layout that made it feel even more expansive. All the amenities you could need were readily available. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and there is also an outside braai area. The shower/bathroom is huge with plush towels and toiletries. One of the standout features of the apartment is the stunning views of the bay. The large windows allowed natural light to flood the apartment, which created such a tranquil, serene atmosphere during our stay. Overall, it was an incredibly peaceful and enjoyable stay, and I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for comfort, and somewhere truly beautiful. "

"We loved our stay at Doorn Kraal. Firstly the staff are lovely and so professional. Our room (the 2 bedroom cottage) was super neat and tidy, and it had everything we needed and it was very quiet as it’s a bit further away. Just be mindful at night, there may be one or two spiders in the trees when you walk to the cottage (have a flashlight). The food was soo delicious, we could not stop thinking about the wonderful dinner. We will stay again. Thanks to all the staff! "

"Lovely find. Off the beaten track. On our way to a Safari about 6 hours off the Garden route, so only stayed one night. Liked it much that we have booked another night on our return to Capetown!"

"This property was a total disaster. It was advertised as having air con. No restrictions. We get there and were told there is no air con from 10pm to 10am. I would never have booked the place without air con. We were told to leave the windows open and were eaten alive by bugs all night. Spoke to the owners and were told ok we would be able to use the air con the following day. Guess what… next day all of a sudden the air con “doesn’t work” may be a day or two until it’s fixed. We decided to leave. They said they would refund the money and then charged us for two days anyway. Do your self a favor stay somewhere else. "

"It was a frustrating experience with our booking at the guesthouse through Hotels.com. We made a non-refundable reservation for the wrong date and realized it immediately after completing the booking. We contacted the guesthouse to request a change to the correct date, but unfortunately, the owner indicated that he was unable to accommodate us. However, after reaching out to Hotels.com, they worked with the owner to arrange a refund, and we successfully made a new booking for the correct date. After we received acknowledgement of a refund, we made another booking and contacted the guesthouse about our new reservation. Although the owner acknowledged the booking, he expressed his reluctance to accept reservations made through booking sites due to ongoing communication issues with them. Upon arrival, the staff at the guesthouse were unaware of our booking, which created confusion, especially since we had previously communicated our situation with them over the phone. Thankfully, they accepted us for the night but required proof of payment beyond the booking confirmation. While the accommodation itself was satisfactory and the staff were friendly, the communication between Hotels.com and the guesthouse was lacking. According to the owner, there seem to be unresolved issues with Hotels.com regarding their communication, which added to the confusion. I recommend not booking through a booking site as double-checking with the guesthouse prior to arrival did not even ensure a smooth "
