Beautiful 2040 sq ft house located on the Brazos River near Glen Rose. Fully furnished with comfortable beds and great kitchen. Very secluded location. The county road ends at our driveway. Very quiet. About the only 'human noise' you will hear is an occastional airplane flying over. Lots of wildlife to observe. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. Great place for fishing, hiking or just relaxing. Located less than an hour away from the D/FW metroplex. A short drive to Dinosaur Park and many other attractions in the area.

Beautiful Property
This was a gorgeous property with lots to explore. There is plenty to keep kids exploring including a tire swing. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the house.

Peaceful spot in the country
We really enjoyed our time at this property, played in the water and had a fire under the stars with s'mores. The house was very clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and it really wasn't far from the attractions for being way more affordable than some other options nearby.

Restful corner in the world.

Just what we needed
The property was quiet, safe, clean, and peaceful. The house was well cared for, no bugs or mess inside. The kids LOVED the tire swing. If we ever make our way back to Glenrose, we will definitely stay at this house again.

Completely Secluded
Lived in Dallas my whole life, camped, traveled, and never thought there was such a clean and secluded river so close to home. The property was great and owner was super easy to work with. Loved the kayaks and to have our own access to the river was amazing. We literally saw or heard no one the entire time we were there.

Great end of summer 3 day trip
Short trip to spend time with the family before our grandgal starts school and daughter in law gets back to teaching. Great location and the river right behind the house is a bonus. We saw deer down by the river from back window saturday morning. Fosiil rim wildlife center and dinosaur valley state park are less than 30 minutes away. Any restaurants, stores and shops needed or desired are even closer. Beautiful country drive to home where we found everything was clean and well stocked. We cooked some big meals at the house and had every pot, pan or dish we needed. Hope to go back when it cools off this fall.

We purposely chose this listing over others because it claimed to be private land and that you'd hear no human noise. On the contrary there were whole groups of people walking acrossthe yard and even their cars driving through our backyard to get to the river in the back. Was not private or relaxing at all ruined our stay and would not return again.

Perfect Girls Weekend
This is an amazing property!!! My friends and I were missing our time together so much that we decided a weekend away was the only solution......but we needed to continue to socially distance. This was the PERFECT solution! Close enough to the DFW area to make it an easy drive, but far enough out in the country to give us seclusion and privacy. We spent our weekend playing card games, floating in the river, having drinks around the fire pit, and laughing until our sides hurt!! The house is exactly as pictured. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. Nice bathrooms. Very clean. BEAUTIFUL back yard with the river literally right there!!! Just go! You won't regret it!!

This listing doesn’t do it justice!! The view is amazing!! Deer, turkeys, and armadillos. Wildlife all around. Enjoyed the quiet. House was amazing.

Excellent Stay - As Advertised
This place was wonderful. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. My wife and I brought our daughter and a few friends for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the river, the tire swing, 3 different deer visits, the kitchen, and the beds. I have nothing but good things to say about this visit. The only thing others should know is that this is off the beaten path. It took about 15 minutes to get into town, but that was understood by us and totally fine. We like the country. I would not hesitate to book this again. Great stay!
