"Casa Gerrari 406 is an eclectic small old hotel with mucho character and charm. And the price is extremely reasonable. Rooms are on the small side but everything works and the service from Marco and his staff make you feel like a guest and friend. Parking is street only, and the streets are narrow and steep, so plan accordingly. "It’s incredible how this property hasn’t fallen apart yet. Apart from the ow et, who is a nice lady, the rest is awful and definitely not worth the price. Walls seem to be made out of cardboard and you can hear everything, the 3 bathrooms look like they’ve been hit by a bomb during a war, the rooms smell like pee and the kitchen can. Arely fit one person with enough cutlery to make a bowl of pasta. There was no toilet paper at all in any of the 3 bathroom à during our 4-day stay nor any soap...

"Wonderful staff and stay. Great wines and food. Location is a bit farther from the cool stuff but still attainable. I gave one star less for food since the floors seemed dirty in our rooms and left our feet black. But it is a dusty place. "

"The view of the Bay/water front was beautiful. But if you were looking for the beach you need to go further up or down the coast. The hotel is clean, staff very friendly and the breakfast was more than just coffee & bread. You had fruit, egg, sausage, pastries and so much more to eat. This area was very walkable. As you walked the city the dining options were plentiful from Pizza to Chinese to local dining. Public transportation was easily found. The only disappointing aspect of the city was the Graffiti that was everywhere. But we enjoyed our time in Valparaiso. "
