Clean room & close to a Metro station (Cinelandia). Other than that, there’s nothing open in surrounding areas. Good if you want to stay close to Santos Dumont airport.

We booked this hotel for a quick layover. The walk to the hotel is very sketchy and you feel unsafe. They are hundreds of homeless people outside. There are not towels in the rooms and after walking back down to the reception the staff was very annoyed by us asking for a towel ?! The room is not very clean or nice.

We asked for a high up room...got 3rd floor. Only one towel for 2 guests, so we had to ring reception but we had to go down to sort it out after just arriving. They shut down the entry card, so we were locked out of our room, again we had to go to reception to sort it out! Bathroom ran out of gel in the shower, so not checked or refilled. I normally scrimp on hotels, (We got a room in Sao Paulo, breakfast and room service for 4 nights for half of what we paid for Ibis 2 nights!!) This time paid for a rubbish service at the Ibis...not again ever.

Apesar da proximidade com o aeroporto Santos Dumont, o entorno do hotel apresenta-se bastante abandonado, com lojas vazias, moradores de rua por toda a calçada.

Inicialmente a atendente nós recepcionou de maneira deselegante e totalmente desnecessária, me cortou e nem deixou eu completar uma frase. Após isso nos acomodaram em um andar que estava ao lado de outro andar que estava em obras, tendo um barulho terrível. O café da manhã faltava itens e não estava ocorrendo a reposição no sabado pela manhã.
