A very cute, cozy, and secluded getaway cottage, which is co-located with a private lake. This is an old farming property, complete with a greenhouse! The grounds are a park-like setting on 3 acres of land. Easy 30 minutes to Savannah and 45 minutes to Hilton Head Island. Close to the airport and Port of Savannah. Sleeps a total of 4 with an option for a child's bed or pack-n-play!

Our stay was good, BUT… It appears to us that the guest before us had a dog. There was dog hair pretty much everywhere, not to mention the worst part: when we entered the house there was a terrible smell of dog urine. We bought a spray and it got better, but it still was nauseous

This little house is near everything you need, yet in the country. Clean and comfortable, and our dog was allowed! Easy check-in, and Larry is a great host!

Larry was outgoing and helpful in pointing us where to go. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had all the features listed. The only issue we had were the bugs.

An overnight for me and my puppy
Nice yard for my puppy and a comfortable bed for the night for me. Unfortunately, I have to agree with some other reviewers, air conditioner was too loud to hear tv and there were some bugs in the kitchen area. Missing some nice touches found at other VRBO’s like toiletries (soap, shampoo) and k-cups & Kuerig.

Ok but the fordt hour there a tree branch fell on the house qnd the owner said hed move it cause we had a 4 year old but he never moved it..grass was very tall also..other than that a good place

Little cottage off the main drag.
Cottage is just as it states in VBRO. It is perfect size for couple traveling with the Dawg.. The owner came and checked on us on arrival and filled us in on the cottage details. No fenced in area, but a big yard to walk around. The road in front of the cottage is quite active and not conducive for walking with dogs. 1/2 hour to Savannah.

The house was very clean upon arrival. We had no issues and were really happy with its location. We visited Savannah and Tybee Island and liked the fact that it was far enough away to not have heavy traffic yet not so far to each destination. Nice, quiet road. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling alone or in a pair.

This cottage was perfect for us and our 2 pugs. It is an older cottage, so if that isn't your fancy you should probably keep scrolling. There were two small issues during our stay, however Larry the host jumped right on them and they were resolved promptly!

The rental did have a homey feeling. It could use some updating. Larry was a super nice guy and would go out of his way to help you. In pics it showed a recliner which was my #1 reason for booking because my love one has a heart condition to where she sits up to sleep. And it was not there.

Turtleback cottage
Our overall experience was good although there were a few things we felt would’ve made it better. The air conditioning units were really loud, made it hard to talk and if we watched tv, we had to turn it up loud which made communicating even harder. There were inadequate outlets. It is an old house but outlets are needed, especially usb ports, which can be found at the base of some lamps. And some end tables for the couch. You need something to put your drinks on. Overall, it was good. We slept good.

Comfortable, Private, Close to Everything
My family and I were very comfortable during our stay here. The house was small and cozy but very private, which is a lot better than a stay at a hotel. It was well stocked with all we needed and more (lots of linens, cookware, and towels). The inside of the house was clean and minimal, which was perfect because we have young children that like to get into everything. The AC units kept the house at a comfortable, cool temperature.The bed was comfortable, but I will say that you could feel the springs on the mattress for the pull out couch; however, my husband and daughter slept just fine on it. Chickens came to visit and there was a turtle pond that our daughter loved visiting (her favorite part was getting to feed the turtles). Larry was very communicative, friendly, and helpful. Overall, it's a perfect home base if you want to go to Savannah (30 minutes) or the beach (1 hour). I would definitely stay here again.

Needs attention
The house was clean but outside due to the hurricane there were fallen trees and branches. Our small dog had a hard time..Inside the toilet wouldn't flush properly. The freezer door was falling off. Our son tried to sleep on the sofa sleeper but the mattress was so thin the bars hurt his back.I hope the owner does some upgrades because the area itself is really good

Comfortable and quiet
We were in the area to vend at an event for the weekend in Savannah. It was an easy drive into Savannah from the cottage. The cottage was clean and very comfortable. It was so nice to have a comfortable, quiet place to come back each day. Would definitely recommend!

We chose this location since we were in town for local school board business. We had to juggle nights a bit and the host was very accommodating & helpful. We brought our small dogs who enjoyed their stay as well. Parking was close and it was a nice country atmosphere.

Emailed owner for check in info twice but received no response until VRBO contacted him. Received key code an hour before check in. Loved the location. House is older & could use some updating. Will have to agree with other renters that air conditioner in living room is very noisy. But it did do a good job cooling the house down. Recliner looks new and was very comfortable. The couch was saggy & very uncomfortable for sitting. And the couch covers smelled like dogs.
