A time to reconnect with family, friends and the special person in your life. Really peaceful location yet only a short drive to local amenities if you want to do activities.

Soak in the hot tub overlooking the mountains, river, and valley. Enjoy meals prepared on the outdoor barbecue grill, relaxed eating outside on the open deck. Indoor dining, prepare a meal in the well equipped kitchen then dine by candlelight. Watch the sunset over the mountains as you eat your dinner in the fresh air.

Inside cozy, soothing, relaxing space to forget life's stress. Board Games, Books, or Jigsaws to keep the whole family entertained. Comfortable furnishings that make it feel like home and modern appliances to ensure your stay is a real escape.

A wonderful mountain escape
This wonderful home has everything you need to cozy up for some time in the mountains. Well organized and nicely stocked kitchen, comfy beds, close to great hiking. We loved it!

The house was perfect with beautiful views and allowed for a relaxing weekend. We got a lot of use out of the hot tub and want to take a summer trip to utilize the pool. I Definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing trip with amazing views.

A great place to stay
My friends and I stayed for a week and had an excellent time. The cabin itself is in a great location, we had no trouble getting up with 4wd. Shennandoah also has plenty of outdoor activities to do so you'll never be bored. The owner was also super communicative and polite! All in all an excellent place to stay that i'd highly recommend!

Nice little cabin with a great view. Definitely a bit tricky to get up if you didn't have a Jeep like myself, but the house was cleaned and organized very well and was accurately depicted. Would go back again!

Great Vacation
We had a fantastic time at the cabin. The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. The views from the front deck were incredible. The mountain road and driveway was a little rough but easily traveled with 4WD.

Price for view = rugged drive
Although the listing recommends 4WD, that, to me, should be featured more prominently. The view from the home is spectacular, but guests should be acutely aware that the price is a rugged, steep drive. The home is nice and roomy; the exterior could use a little boost. Overall it was a lovely getaway.

Really loved this place. Like other reviewers said, you will need AWD to get up the driveway. And one of the king beds is basically open to the kitchen, so not a separate room. Other than that, it is a great place with amazing views.

What a beautiful home with great amenities. Gorgeous views everywhere. I would agree with the owner that a 4 wheel or all wheel drive is necessary to get to the house. The only bad part was that my stay was way too short. 😊

The property was even lovelier than the photos. The kitchen was super well-equipped. The hot tub was 104 which was perfect in the single digit temps. There was even a small Christmas tree which made it perfect! I would definitely recommend it to my friends and hope to come back in summer to try out the pool!

A cabin's cabin
Definitely the real deal. On a single lane gravel road with steep grades switchback turns. Beautiful cabin with awesome views of the mountains and Shenandoah River. The wood fire place reminded me of my own childhood and heated the entire home on 30*F night. This was a top 5 trip for the family.

Weekend getaway
I definitely recommend staying at this location. It’s remote and secluded but still close enough to trails and local towns. The house was very clean and beautiful view of the mountains. Charlie was very accommodating and communication was great. Pool was nice to have on the warm days. I recommend an AWD vehicle as it was hard to get up the hill to the house. We will return.

Nice little cabin
The cabin itself is great. Very comfortable. Hot tub and deck are awesome! My only complaints were that I thought the trail to the falls was closer (it made it seem like it was on the property) and that there wasn't a house book to tell you how to get to the trail etc. Two things to be aware of: the shower in one of the masters is actually in the bedroom and one of the king beds in the open area next to the kitchen.

Fantastic Slice of Heaven
The pictures and description do not do this place justice. The interior was so much more than we expected. It was comfortable, gorgeous, and just what we needed as a haven. The porch area is where we spent most of our time. The views were magnificent. We sat there and stared at sunrise, sunset, and the stars. I’m fact, we could faintly see the Milky Way. If I have my way, we will be back.

Comfort and view
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Moonshine. It was just what we had hoped for. Heed the warnings about recommending a SUV - worth any extra cost. Loved the seclusion and the million dollar view. Hot tub was fantastic overlooking the Shenandoah River Valley and tons of stars at night when the clouds are in agreement. Would we go again? Absolutely.

Best part about the cabin was the view!
There were a few minor issues brought to PM attention and resolved. The house was not as clean as I would have hoped for the price point.. The road leading up to and the driveway is no joke! The best part about the cabin was the incredible view, absolutely amazing. Overall, we most likely would not stay again.

Friend Get away.
We had an awesome time at your cabin! The view was the best we have ever seen. Great for morning coffee! The driveway was a little tough for my front wheel drive car so would recommend you state that AWD or 4WD a necessity. Even though we had no issues, there was not a # to contact the property manager on your information sheet in the cabin. May want to add that. Otherwise, a great time was had by all :)
