"The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay there, but it falls short of being a 5-star place. The location is great, right next to the train station (S-bahn) and walkable to Old Town in the centre of Munich. "Utilitarian on the outside but beautiful and modern on the inside. The room was comfortable, but the pillows were quite firm. The restaurant had a nice ambience and the food was decent. My husband enjoyed his meal, but we weren't impressed by the pumpkin soup. We really liked the convenience of the bus stop, where we caught a bus to the terminal. Very nice service and a good option if you need a place close to the airport."

The only downside was the bathroom which doesn't have a vent so the room get steamy and moist. Also annoying is that the light switch to the bathroom is on the outside so that the light wakes people when you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night."
