Cow Creek Suite's immaculate and luxuriously comfortable accommodations, quiet edge-of-town location and affordable rates have combined to make it one of Ridgway's most popular vacation rentals since 2007. And when readers of the Ouray County Plaindealer were asked in 2013 to name the best lodging in the County they voted Cow Creek Suite second only to the City of Ouray's iconic Beaumont Hotel, recognizing Cow Creek Suite as one of your top lodging options in all of Ouray County as well.

With great second-story views of adjacent meadows and the surrounding San Juan Mountains, you will love this family friendly, two-bedroom property featuring private full bath, laundry, and fully-equipped kitchen and dining facilities. The property has always been maintained smoke, pet and allergen free with allergen barrier bedding and an AccuClean(TM) Whole Home Air Filtration System.

Offering 992 square feet of living space, the large, open great room and vaulted ceilings throughout provide spacious living quarters. Private decks facing east and west let you enjoy sun or shade any time of day. With a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other, the suite comfortably sleeps four (five with a youngster on the available cot).

With 400 thread-count 100% cotton sheets, plush carpeting, dedicated high-speed and password protected wireless internet service, 50" Vizio HDTV, custom woodwork and historical area photographs and art, this spacious suite is outfitted to be your favorite home away from home.

The convenient, edge-of-town location is as quiet as it gets, yet directly across the street you can access Ridgway's network of wide, pedestrian and bike friendly sidewalks for a quick, easy walk or ride into the center of town and all of Ridgway's many fine restaurants, shops, and attractions. Highlights include the Ridgway Visitor Center, Railroad Museum, Ranch History Museum, Town Park, County Fairgrounds, and River Trail. (The River Trail traverses the Uncompahgre River corridor to Dennis Weaver Memorial Park, Ridgway State Park, and the awesome hiking trails and single track mountain bike paths surrounding Ridgway.)

SUMMER GUESTS PLEASE NOTE! Thanks in part to a growing family of repeat guests (we've averaged 14 repeat guests per year since 2016) half our summer dates are typically reserved by January so if you have specific dates in mind please book early.

WAIVER OF 3 NIGHT MINIMUM: We will gladly waive the 3 night minimum wherever our availability calendar shows only one or two open nights...just inquire before booking.

FEES: Vrbo includes both a SERVICE FEE and a HOST FEE in their quotes for this property. The SERVICE FEE is what travelers are charged by Vrbo for using the Vrbo booking platform - as your hosts we have nothing to do with this. The HOST FEE is set by us and is actually a cleaning fee the sole purpose of which is to ensure you can expect the unit to be immaculately clean upon your arrival - including freshly laundered towels, bed linens AND blankets (we do not use bed spreads). We make no money on this fee as 100% of what we receive from Vrbo is paid to our outstanding cleaning service who have been under contract with us for many years. You will find this emphasis on immaculate accommodations is reflected in our guest reviews.

SHORT TERM RENTAL LICENSE: To help ensure your safety and the quality of your rental experience the Town of Ridgway, City of Ouray and Ouray County have all established standards that short-term rental properties within their jurisdictions must meet in order to be licensed to operate. Cow Creek Suite operates under License No. STR2017-16 issued by the Town of Ridgway. Before choosing a short term rental property make certain it is operating legally with a valid, government issued license prominently displayed in their listing or call the appropriate local administration offices to verify the rental property is properly licensed.

Very convenient location for access to Ouray, Telluride, and Owl Creek Pass. A great place to prepare and eat meals, work a puzzle, or watch a movie after a day of sightseeing.

FAVORITE place in Ridgeway to stay!!!!
This was our fourth time or fifth time to stay at Cow Creek. The owners are exceptional y friendly and great to work with. The place is always so clean and has all the accommodations you would expect. Beautiful views from both the front and back deck. Perfect location (close to the grocery store, the gas station, and 10 minutes from Ouray). Already planning our next trip back!

Fabulous vacation
We so enjoyed Cow Creek. We love the views out of every window. It was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, mixing bowls, and even scissors and tape. Very grateful for this place. Weve been there about 4 times now and hope to return again.

Clean, cozy, walkable within Ridgway. 10 minute drive to Ouray. Excellent communication from hosts. Stocked with everything we needed. Only negatives were the beds were not very comfortable and seemed pretty old and some kind of blackout curtains in bedrooms would have been nice. Front facing bedroom was awash in sunlight by 6am with no means of blocking it.

A great place
Was a great location. Has a Family Dollar and gas station within walking distance and you can be in town at the grocery store in 5 minutes. And your at the crossroads for where you want to go. Straight ahead for Telluride or turn left for Ouray. Would highly recommend this place.

Great Stay!
This place fit our needs perfectly. A very nice, clean, and well appointed property. Plenty of parking for us and the other renters below as well. The views are tremendous! Location is great. Walked to Ridgway and easy access to drive wherever our trip sent us. This was our second rental of this property and we will do so again. One minor recommendation: we would have loved some small fans in the bedrooms for air movement.

Good place and location
The unit was nice and clean. Overall, I was impressed but the only thing knocking it was the quality of the beds. We all didn't get the best rest because of that, but overall it was a value rental.

Great Place
Great place to wrap our honeymoon and be base camp for all that Ridgway/Ouray have to offer. Owners were very responsive and communication was great. AC went out, but didn't spend much time in the home during the day and nights were cool with windows open. It was repaired during our stay as well. Would recommend Cow Creek suite as a perfect place to stay in this beautiful area. Thanks Mary Beth & Bob for wonderful hospitality!!

Quiet, clean place
The Cow Creek Suites were clean and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evening. It was a tight fit in the kids' bedroom with the cot, but was manageable for the 4 days we were there. I was worried about the kids spilling on the carpeted dining area. The location was quiet and good for activities in Ouray and Ridgway. The hosts were responsive and helpful.

Great Location, lots of room and loved the AC
We stayed 3 nights while hiking the area. The kitchen was spacious and had all the pans etc we needed. The AC was great since it was 90 when we got back. The dishwasher leaked when we got there and it wasnt repaired when we were there. Everything else worked fine. We enjoyed the stay and check in was great.

Comfortable apartment in good location for seeing the area
We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment. The apartment is bright and well maintained. It is located in the small town of Ridgway. This worked well for our fishing and hiking trip in the area. It is also very close to several good restaurants. The closest large grocery and other stores are 25 minutes away in Montrose. The kitchen is stocked with basic cookware of lower quality. The outdoor decks are very nice. And so are the views of the mountains and valley.

Over the 14 yrs our son has lived here we have stayed a lot of places & this is our favorite. We have stayed here at least 4 times & it feels like home. It’s very clean & fresh & decorated with historic photos of the area. The kitchen is well furnished. The bed was fabulous! From the little upstairs front porch you look across the highway (from a respectful distance👍) to the fairgrounds & almost into town, from the back deck, it’s quiet, you look across a green field with cows, towards the Cimarrons. Over the years we’ve kind of gotten to know Bob & Mary Beth. Nice folks. We’ll be booking agsin for this fall.

Another Christmas at Cow Creek Suites, upstairs. This was our 2nd Christmas here & our 3rd stay. It has become our home away from home when visiting our son. We can see his house from the back porch looking across the field, near enough, but still have our "own space". We love this light filled, pretty apartment. There are magnificent views from every window. The Sneffles Range greets you every morning out front. Close to town but far enough off the street so no road noise. We are always comfortable here & Bob & MaryBeth are available in case you need anything. We will be back!
