The food in the bar/restaurant looked superb and it was fairly busy when I got there, however I didn't try the food as I already had other plans for the evening. I did have a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable. I was shown to my room, which was in a separate block adjacent to the bar and beer garden. The ground floor room was clean...

"The Globe is a terrific inn in Chagford. The people who run it are friendly and welcoming. They very kindly went above and beyond to get the room ready a bit earlier for us so we could attend a wedding in the church opposite. Speaking of - what a glorious view from our room! Our room was clean and comfy and full of charm and it was great to have a sign on our table welcoming us to breakfast the next morning. "

"This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. "This is a lovely old little B&B, with a cute country charm and lovely, friendly staff. Great food for vegetarians at breakfast and dinner. Nice room with lovely views of the countryside. Due to the rural and old nature of the pub, it was a little dusty and probably in need of a lick of paint, but this certainly shouldn’t deter people from staying. It was everything we needed during our stay!"
