"The Retreat" as it is dubbed by the current owner has more high end amenities than most commercial resorts. Entertain your guests at the outdoor bar situated beside the in-ground pool, with sounds of cascading fountains and sightings of wildlife on this naturally wooded estate. Many features of this property include a detached 2 story pool/ guest house, 40 foot waterfall/ river, hot tub, sauna, tennis courts, large conditioned 3 car detached garage with private guest apartment. Main house highlights include, a 2 car garage, gorgeous eat in kitchen with granite counters, custom raised panel cabinets and stainless appliances, built in 100 +wine bottle rack, a walkout basement game room complete with pool table, black jack, work out room, and bar to keep your guests endlessly entertained.

The Best of Richmond
If you're ever in Richmond and need a place to stay, I highly recommend this place. The pictures do not do this place justice. The grounds are really spacious, plenty of room inside and outside the home. No issues here during our stay. We loved it!

WOW!!!
This is truly a Retreat!! We stayed with extended family for Graduation weekend. We used every aspect of the house! We had pool tournaments in the basement, hung out at the bar, relaxed in and around the pool, and so much more. We had a truly wonderful weekend!!! Lori is super responsive and great to work with!

Our host, easy to communicate in quick to reply answers to any questions I had, and ready to accommodate any of my needs. My company had 16 of our employees in town for a retreat. Every single person was impressed with the property. We had so much fun I never felt the need to leave. The beds are comfortable, bathroom, clean, and accommodating. If we ever have alto revisit this area again, we will definitely rebook. Thank you for a wonderful experience. The entire team was sad to leave.

So much potential
This is designed to be a wonderful, private family resort but falls a little short. There were only two of the blue umbrellas to be found (one of those was broken). The electrical circuits kept flipping in the kitchen, front door wouldn't latch and the water feature by the pool didn't work. Has the infrastructure to be a fabulous place but needs a little TLC.

Great week at a great spot. A few small things were uncertain (couldn't find the hair-dryer that it said was available, didn't know where extra TP was stored, etc.) but these minor inconveniences in no way diminished how excellent everything was and how gracious and understand the host was! Highly recommended.

Amazing Thanksgiving
My family and I booked this property to spend thanksgiving together and celebrate my recent engagement. The property was incredible and had just about every amenity you can think of (outdoor heaters, tennis court, arcade games). Lori was an amazing host and responsive through out the whole stay. The house was ready with sheets, towels and other essentials. Everyone enjoyed themselves, kids and adults! Memories for a life time, we will be back!

Ideal location for a large group!
This location had exactly what we needed for our sales team. We had an expo in Richmond and the house was only about 20 minutes away and very easy to access. All of the rooms were clean and tidy. The house is a great size for everyone who was there to have space. We all enjoyed the space.

Plenty of room
There were 13 of us that stayed at this property. There was a family wedding nearby and this allowed all of the out of town family members to stay at one location and have a mini family reunion at the same time. The kitchen was stocked very well and even had an assortment of spices and a few extras - probably some things left behind by other guests, like we did with a few non-perishable leftovers. The weather was not the best while we were there, but the spaciousness of the house, with 3 living room areas, plus the game room, meant that people could spread out and not be on top of one another. We did have one nice day where we got to play tennis with rackets and balls provided. The young adults braved some somewhat chilly weather to go into the pool and everyone enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. The house was clean, had good TV reception, temperature in house was very good, there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. We utilized all of the bedrooms with the exception of the bunk room. The pool house stairs do not seem to be standard spacing for the steps, so if you have someone older or challenged with balance that could be an issue, but there are several rooms to choose from. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and our hosts were very accommodating.

Wedding weekend
Wedding at the Virginia House about 20 minutes away. House worked out really well. Rehearsal dinner at the house Friday night. Groom and his brothers played PAC Man, sat in sauna, played basketball and tennis Saturday morning. All great!

Amazing Resort Style Property
Overall a truly amazing experience! The property manager was great and very responsive. The property is truly resort like and was perfect for our large group. Endless space and activities. The sauna was one of my favorite amenities. I hope to visit again and would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

SOCON finals
Went to watch my son play in SOCON finals for lacrosse at Robins Stadium. The house was just what it said a retreat. It was very relaxing and very big. We didn’t use all as some of our group didn’t come with us. But the ones that did made the most of everything. I will return to stay longer
