Relax up-north while staying at "The Red Cedar Lake Narrows Lodge" this 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental located near the City of Rice Lake and Birchwood! This lakefront home boasts 2,000 square feet. The Lodge offers a newer pontoon (available for rent prior to arrival). May 31 thru Aug 30 there is a 7 day minimum stay (Saturday to Saturday).

There are beautiful water views from the upper deck and lower deck! Spend your days on Red Cedar Lake which connects to Hemlock and Balsam Lakes. Enjoy some complimentary local wine waiting for you upon arrival!

The space
*Visit year-round for some of the top fishing in Wisconsin with lots of Walleyes, Bass, Northern, and Panfish!*

The property is perfect for a family or group of close friends looking for the quintessential lake vacation. This lodge was newly constructed in 2019 and features 2,000 square feet of living space.

We've operated this lodge as a vacation rental since 2019, but we currently have zero reviews because we've started managing the rentals ourselves rather than using a property manager. Once we left the property management company, we lost our original VRBO listing, and lost all of our reviews. We had numerous 5 star reviews and we have many families come vacation at our lodge year-after-year! :)

The Property is perfect for a family or group of close friends looking for the quintessential lake vacation.

Spend days on the 15 x 30-foot deck with a gas grill, comfortable outdoor furniture and magical birds-eye-views of Red Cedar Lake below. You'll also have access to two private docks, an outdoor fire pit (wood provided), and a covered patio, which extends off the basement level of the home.

The living room ushers everyone to gather and spend downtime together around the cable TV. Or, there's more space for the group downstairs in the finished walk-out basement also featuring ample seating and a flat-screen cable TV.

Step into the fully equipped kitchen and prepare your favorite meals using the modern appliances and all the cooking utensils you could need. Dine at the island bar and dining table while sharing highlights from the day. End the evening outside in the fresh air around the fire pit under a starlit sky.

You will have full access to the entire lodge with the exception of the small utility/supply room.

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, central heating, central air conditioning, 2 cable TVs, free high-speed internet, finished basement recreation room, first floor washer and dryer, and much more
- Experience the best of outdoor living with a private deck, gas grill, covered patio, screened porch, outdoor fire pit (wood provided), private docks, fish cleaning station, 3-car garage and more!
- Enjoy complimentary delicious local wine upon arrival!
- Beautiful fishing pontoons available to rent - With Honda 50 horsepower engine, sun cover, trolling motor, fish locator, anchors and life jackets.
Pontoon rates are as follows:
Day 1 = $300.00
Days 2 and 3 = $200.00 per day
Days 4 and 5 = $100.00 per day
Days 6 and 7 = $50.00 per day
Weekly rate = $1000.00
There is also a $200.00 deposit per rental. Guest is responsible for paying for gas used. After booking, please call host for additional information.

Lake house vacation
Chose this home/lake house as our first vacation spot as a family of 3 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We rented the boat for a few days and spent our time boating on the lake and relaxing at the cabin. Gary & Sharon are the kindest/most generous hosts and made us feel right at home. We can’t wait to come back!

Winter Vacation!
We had a great stay! We had ages from 2 to 42. The kitchen was great for prepping meals. We did a fantastic Prime Rib in the oven. The furniture and beds were comfy, plenty of blankets and pillows! Bathrooms were clean, great towels, and stocked with necessities. The views are Fantastic!!! Gary was super helpful along the way and throughout. 10/10 would recommend a stay here. We are hopping to plan a summer stay so we can utilize the deck and 3 season porch!

Wisconsin Summer Lake Home
Our family of six very much enjoyed our stay in Rice Lake. We were able to rent a pontoon from the homeowners which gave us the ability to explore the lakes and have some much-needed R&R. The ability to have the boat truly improved our time there. The homeowners are as kind as could be and made a special effort to see that we had a lovely week. The home fit us well with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The big back desks allowed us bonding time outside for big family meals and game time. The reasons for the 4 stars are that the lower bathroom was too small with a tiny shower and small sink. Also, the house was less clean when we checked in than I had expected. While I understand summer is a very busy time with back-to-back guests, the owners should spend more time cleaning between guests.

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. What a great, quiet spot on the lake. Well appointed cabin with lots of room and charm. If you go, I highly recommend you include the pontoon rental.

Summer Retreat
Great location on the lake with access to many restaurants in the area. Neighborhood and neighbors are very friendly as well. Gary and Sharon are excellent hosts with great knowledge of the area and lake. Our family enjoyed spending the week together at their home and look forward to future summers coming back.

Wonderful Family Reunion
We thoroughly enjoyed our mini-family reunion using this vacation rental as a base camp. The house and grounds had everything we could have wanted - plenty of bedroom space, two full bathrooms, washer and dryer, full kitchen, lots of parking and a fabulous deck. An extra bonus was divinely provided when a flock of around 100 white pelicans flew in and settled for the week on the lake. We enjoyed the fire pit that our hosts set up for us and the local wine waiting for our arrival. Our hosts came by to check in with us and introduce themselves. They were as welcoming as they were personable. All of our family who visited while we were in residence commented on how lovely the home was. It really was the ideal location for our visit and we made so many memories that we will cherish for years to come. I highly recommend this property. We spent 7 nights and had a ball!

Beautiful cabin in great location
Gary and Sharon’s cabin was a wonderful place for our family to stay while in Birchwood for a family reunion. It comfortably accommodated our family of 4, in addition to our sister in law’s family of 4. It was a bonus to have the upstairs family room, in addition to the downstairs area, since we had multiple teenagers with us! The cabin was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The view of the lake is gorgeous, and the fact that we were able to rent one of their (very clean) pontoons was a HUGE bonus!! Communication with Gary was so easy, and you truly won’t find a sweeter couple! We would definitely recommend staying here!!!

Relaxing time at a clean cabin
Our family of four stayed for a long weekend to step away from the chaos of life. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed for our stay and was in a good location. We spent days ice fishing and playin in the snow and the nights having family time around the table or watching movies. Great hosts that communicated with us to ensure we had everything we needed and even left us a bottle of wine. Thanks Gary!

Great family get away!!
My wife and our four kids had a amazing trip to Red Cedar Lake. We were able to ice fish everyday and primarily stayed at the cabin over the 5 days. We cooked all of our meals and the kids loved playing games, watching movies and playing with Christmas presents in the house. The house was very clean and the owners did a great job with snow removal while we were on our trip. We are looking forward to staying during the summer.

Great Escape
Beautiful property on Red Cedar Lake. Gary and Sharon could not be any better. Great people. Fishing was fantastic off the dock and the house had everything you could ask for.

Very nice cabin on the south end of Red Cedar Lake. My daughter and grandkids enjoyed the cabin and the lake and the panfishing. We will be back again in the future.

Wonderful hosts
Gary and Sheryl are incredibly wonderful hosts. From the very first correspondence you are treated like family. They are always available and respond immediately to any questions. The property is immaculate and beautiful. Such a great peaceful location on the narrows. We brought our boat which they had a great spot on the dock to moor it, but because we had our 12 year old golden retriever, along with our 2 kids and their spouses, we decided to rent the pontoon as well. Great move! It was spotless as well and purred like a kitten. We used it everyday and will definitely rent it again next time! The house has everything you need, new appliances and plenty of room for the six of us and the dog. We grilled on the huge deck every night. Our family loves this area and we will be coming back to stay with Gary and Sheryl, two of the best hosts we have experienced. We could not recommend this property or the hosts more.
