"The cabin is lovely, clean, and very orderly. (Do check that everything is in order and, if not, notify the proprietor.) We enjoyed all the amenities such as the lovely outdoor living spaces, the fire pit including firewood, various watercraft, a woodsy road behind the cabin for walks, and the generous check-out time (1:00 p.m. in our case). The cabin is conveniently close to Spooner (lots of shops/restaurants) and a lovely distillery just over a mile away. The one drawback for us was the county...

"My family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed in Shannon’s cabin for a week for a family wedding and loved the location and space. The cabin is tucked back into the woods and on the river and very beautiful! Shannon was a great host and very helpful for accommodations. "

"We loved our stay at the cute cabin in the woods. The lake was so peaceful with the view of a dairy farm across the way. It was just what we needed. The cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Wish we could have stayed longer and invited some people to enjoy it with us as there were plenty of beds for sleeping. A nice kitchen for cooking and my favorite 3 season porch. "

"Five ladies on a little vacation. This was perfect for us. Very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed watching the geese, swans, ducks and muskrats from the cabin. Deer were everywhere. Lots of very comfortable beds to choose from. And all our questions were answered very promptly. Thanks for the great stay!"

"Spent 2 nights here in October with adult sons and our dog. We all loved the space. Lots of public seating (both living room and spacious dining room), tons of games, fully appointed kitchen, and comfy beds. And the lake was gorgeous!!! The sunset views are perfect. Really appreciated that we had boats available too. I would stay here again!"

"We had a wonderful stay. Dan and Norah were easy and timely to communicate with. All questions answered quickly and they were very willing to make sure the stay was everything we hoped it would be. The views and privacy are very nice. The home is comfortable - both fireplaces inside work nicely, and furniture is very comfortable. Location is nice - quiet, yet only 15 minutes from multiple towns for food, drinks, activities. We'd definitely go back in the future!"

"We had an amazing time at this home. The home was clean and comfortable. The kids loved the ping pong table in the garage when it was a little rainy outside. We had a lovely fire one evening in the beautiful fire pit over looking the lake. We also brought our own boat. The public landing wasn’t far from this location and it was easy to tie up at the dock. We enjoyed cruising around the lake and fishing. We enjoyed making some fun memories here! Thank you!"

" This place was perfect for our three generation family trip to Long Lake. The location is ideal for fishing, swimming, boating to restaurants, skiing, touring the entire lake, or just enjoying the beautiful view from the deck. The house had everything we needed and more, and the peacefulness of the lake made this a perfect vacation."

"Lovely setting, comfortable cabin, great communication from hosts! Loved the screened in porch and sunsets were phenomenal. We have stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this was one of the only ones I didn’t feel like we needed to clean the kitchen/dishes and disinfect surfaces before settling in. Our two small dogs loved the place and watching the chipmunks. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed cruising, fishing, and channeling to Birch Lake. Didn’t have much luck fishing....

"We had a lovely vacation away from the bustle of work in this pristine Northwoods location. Fishing was excellent, lake is lovely and the swimming at nearby Shell Lake was terrific. Spooner is a really nice town with great amenities including coffee and food. This location is an easy drive to nearby trails and Lake Superior. "

"The place is located right on the lake with a beautiful view from the 3-season porch (awesome 4 panel patio door that opens up to the porch). Nice neighborhood with people walking the roads enjoying nature. Plenty of seating inside and outside, towels, linens, kitchen appliances, coffee makers and everything else you'd need for an enjoyable stay. "

"If beautiful views, clean cabins with great amenities, clean lake water, and relaxation are your things, this vacation property is an excellent choice. The tranquil call of the loons each evening were a perfect ending to each day. The main cabin and bunkhouse were very clean and tastefully decorated to make you feel very comfortable. We had near perfect weather for all activities. Everything we had hoped for."

"This is our second stay at fishermans paradise. We have a 4 yr old and twin 2 year olds. This location is wonderful in relation to parks there is Narrows park (2min), Moon lake park (less than 5), Roux Park (7min). Our new favorite local to support is Cheese Louise next to Agonic brewing. If you are into coffee shops I recommend Badger Brew - their lemon blueberry scones are divine. Fisherman's paradise is also only 5 mins from Marketplace grocery and liquor store (truly a wonderful selection)....
