"Unfortunately, we didn’t check to see that the pool was available to guests without a reservation. Seems strange that they highlighted photos of the pool but you have to make a reservation and pay a fee to use the pool, for a limited time. The pool and hot tub are within the Spa. Breakfast, the lounge and bar areas are beautiful, warm and friendly. This place is not within walking distance of the town and taxi services are limited. "Fantastic hotel! The operator George is amazing. He speaks great English and was incredibly accommodating. We arrived very early and he was able to get our room ready as quickly as possible. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right in the centre and on the Camino trail. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Caldas de Reis. "

"We stayed one night while walking the Camino and while it is about 1km away it is well worth the trip. This is a beautiful old family home that you instantly feel welcomed in. Right from the water and cake you are served during check in the host has thought of every little detail for your stay. The pride they show in sharing their home with you is evident in everything around you and how they treat their guest. You feel like a guest not just another traveller. This is truly a stay not to be missed"

Wonderful experience of Galician life

"Our accommodation was excellent, with a roomy bedroom and lots of space in the garden to sit out on an evening. Kitchen facilities were excellent and we had no trouble using them. The showers was brilliant - powerful and lots of hot water. The surroundings were very rural and gave us a full immersion into local life with the church across the valley broadcasting services all week and the sounds of both local agricultural activity and what sounded like hunting in the forests "

"The pension as a whole is fine, separate bathrooms, the cleanliness etc is fine. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and a minor thing the coffee machine did not work. I had to contact the manager to see if my traveling companion was ok as she was not responding to my knocks on the door and the manager did not see any urgency even though the plans we had made were broken and I did not know where she was, she eventually turned up, but the manager did not."
