Birthday getaway
I took my partner and thier friend to this house and it was a great time. We ended up going up to the mountain and relaxing with a well deserved dip in the hot tub.

Summer vacation
Nice location right on the creek. Close to Mount Hood and activities. We really enjoyed our stay! A couple of maintenance issues: front right burner on the stove didnt work; outdoor grill was broken; 2 of 4 jets in hot tub didn't function.

Girls trip
House was great, weather was warm so spent most time on the deck. Hot tub had a good leak so we had to keep filling it. Fun hanging out by the river and the water felt go good! Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and home is close to restaurants.

Great cabin!
Loved the property! Hot tub was fantastic and the creek is beautiful. The house was very well stocked - many kitchen supplies and extra blankets, etc. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is due to the accuracy of the listing - the listing advertises 4 twin beds in the third bedroom, and in reality there were only 3.

Loved it!
Had a great stay, everything was very comfortable, clean and spacious. My only complaint would be the front steps which are treacherous with frost, especially when loading or unloading cars. Will return, definitely!

Peaceful house in Mt Hood area
Great place to get out of the city The place is awesome, really good for those who wants to get out of the city and relax have a good time with family and/or friends. Th e sound of the river its awesome make you feel like you are inside the forest. The house is pretty nice furnished , all in good style. The hot tube outside works pretty good. I totally recommend this place, Im planning on coming back already.

Barlow Creek Lodge
As I said above, inside was OK, but outside needs some loving care and replacements. The Hot tub was NASTY, should have been thrown in the garbage years ago. Stained and not at all inviting to use. The cover was completely worn out. Pots and Pans in the kitchen were not very good. Looked like they came from a yard sale, and that is not what you expect when you pay this much for a rental. Also, some of the towels were tattered and should have been replaced. For goodness sake, spend some money on this place. The house is very old ( and that's fine) but it needs refurbishing. When we drove up and saw the outside, we were scared the inside was going to be terrible, but the upstairs was fine. The basement and sunroom smelled musty, but we did not use either one.

Great Retreat
The property was easy to find with the directions provided. The location is convenient to Hoodland Thriftway (they have groceries, beer, growler fill station, and a DVD rental machine!) and other restaurants along 26 that we did not try. The immediate property has road that curves around it, but it is well forested so the property still feels private. The road had very little traffic, we enjoyed going for a walk down the road. The property itself is primarily on the upper level. We found the furnishings to be completely adequate and in good order. The TV is an old tube model, but works well (not blurry or dim). A flat-screen LED would be a nice upgrade, but we watched movies just fine in the tube TV. You're not there to watch TV the whole time, after all. The lower level was notably cooler than the upper level, but it was tolerable. The bar area is VERY cool and would be perfect for a pool table... but works quite nicely in it's current form with the game table there. The overall cleanliness of the unit exceeded my expectations, especially for a "cabin" type of rental. The jacuzzi was clean and was chlorinated at the high range of what I would reasonably expect for a unit in use by the public. There is NO light out there, except for some plug in lamps that really aren't appropriate. I high recommend either a higher quality plug-in unit or having a light fixture added. It was also very hot (104*F), we turned it down and let it cool off before using it. We enjoyed going to Little Zigzag Falls, the Wildwood Recreation Site, Mt Hood Brewing Co, and Timberline Lodge. It was nice for our group to be able to come back, cook dinner, play cards, and relax with our books after each day of exploring the area. I would come back. 6 people can be accommodated here comfortably, especially if a couple or two is in the group to stay upstairs in the two primary bedrooms. This is the kind of place I imagine enjoying in the future, when both us and the couple we travel with have children that are old enough to hang out downstairs in the bunk beds and game room area after a day of hiking and playing, and the parents can sit upstairs and read.

Remote Getaway in a Nice Home!
I'll start by saying I'm not a huge fan of property management run vacation homes versus owner run ones. But this home by Vacasa was too good to pass up. Highlights for our group were: the amazing 2 minute 'hike' to private creek access with relaxing benches to watch the stream pass by, the hot tub, and the kitchen table (for board games and meals together). The house was large and spacious, so plenty of room for family to have their own space when they wanted to relax. The grill and patio furniture on the deck was great for some relaxing outside time! Bit of a rocky start as we'd arrived with the power and water off due to an outage in the area (this is where Vacasa did get a bit frustrating, as we dealt with at least 9 different reps throughout our time there until we finally found the local 'feet on the ground' crew to help solve our issues). Fortunately besides the power, our issues weren't many, prime of which was a wasps nest inside the tub on the deck. They eventually sent out pest control to assist which was nice. All in all a great place to stay, very relaxing, very close to so many of the nearby popular hikes along the Columbia River Gorge, and within the Mt. Hood region!

This place feels like home. Even though the internet is great here, it’s more fun to shut off the technology and play games, read, and cuddle up with a big blanket and hot cocoa. Coming back for sure.

Very disappointed that the hot tub didn’t work
The hot tub was broken the whole time which was a huge bummer. Otherwise we really loved the space and the location. The creek was a huge plus, easy to walk to and very peaceful. I am only leaving a 3 star review because of the hot tub and that we received little to no response regarding when it would be fixed.

Great for families.
Wonderful cozy cabin in a beautiful setting. We found it very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The property manager was attentive and took care of issues immediately. We stayed here with our daughter and her family. Children from 1-10 and we all loved it. I would highly recommend this property. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return.

Poorly maintained exterior
The house was as described. However, NO ONE had ever shoveled the stairs, the deck, the drive, nor the hot tub area. Luckily no one slipped on the stairs going into the front door. I would NEVER rent this house again in the winter. Apparently the landlord does not care if they get sued due to the lack of attention on the outside stairs going to the front door. The hot tub was totally non-usable also!!
